The 1st App on Google Play Store supporting Tesla App Mirroring!

TeslaMirror helps mirror your Android device to your Tesla vehicle.

Setup Instructions:
1. Update your Tesla's Infotainment system to the latest version.
2. Ensure your Tesla is PARKED.
3. Connect your Tesla vehicle to your Android device's mobile hotspot. Tesla MCU2/3 hardware is needed. MCU2/3 is available on the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model X (late than March 2018), Model S (late than March 2018), or the Tesla vehicles that are upgraded to MCU2/3 from MCU1.
5GHz mobile Hotspot Wi-Fi network is preferred. Wi-Fi 6 AP is not supported by Tesla vehicle.
4. Start TeslaMirror and confirm the "Tesla Proxy" switch is ON.
5. Tap "Start" for screen broadcast.
6. On Tesla's browser, access yellow link TSL6.com (H.264 mode) or http://100.99.9.9:3333 (MJPEG mode).

Features:

- Recommended H.264 mode settings:

MCU3 (AMD Ryzen): 720p@60fps, as 1080p requires higher network bandwidth, MCU3 supports up to 1080p@60fps

MCU2 (Intel Atom): 540p@30fps

- The H.264 mode supports frame rates up to 60fps, with a default of 30fps.

- Lossless audio (Android 10+ and H.264 mode): Supports up to Hi-Res quality (96 kHz, Stereo, 32-bit), typically significantly better than Bluetooth or low-bitrate audio.

- MPEG mode: No audio; screen mirroring only. Bluetooth recommended for audio.

- Remote Control: touchscreen or mouse support.

FAQ
Netflix not supported

Warning and Legal Disclaimer: DO NOT IGNORE THE FOLLOWING - This service should only be used when the car is PARKED (0mph/0kph)! The use of this program may be restricted based on your local jurisdiction regarding the built-in web browser in your vehicle.

VpnService is needed for the app to operate normally.

Why does this TeslaMirror App need a VpnService?
About the need for VPN, it is mainly because Tesla car blocks all of the normal private LAN IP addresses(such as 192.168.*.*). So, the virtual IP address and VPN are used to bypass the Tesla network limitation. The VPN tunnel is not connected to any public server. For the VPN tunnel, one endpoint is the Android device to be mirrored, another endpoint is the Tesla car.

Is there any privacy issue with it?
There is a web server running on the Android device with a virtual IP address 100.99.9.9. This web server is not available for public Internet access. There are only Tesla car and the phone, no middle servers running on the Internet. There is no privacy issue with it.

The VPN is the core functionality of TeslaMirror application. Or else Tesla car's browser cannot connect to the web browser on the Android device.

This TeslaMirror VPN and app do not collect any user data and logs.

TeslaMirror application does not redirect or manipulate user traffic from other apps.

This app has a "Remote Control" feature that allows you to control your Android device remotely using a touch screen or mouse. In order to use this feature, you need to grant this app Accessibility permission. Without this permission, the "Remote Control" feature will not be available.

This app uses the AccessibilityService API to access the dispatchGesture and performGlobalAction interfaces. These interfaces allow the app to control your Android device remotely using a touch screen or mouse. This app does not collect any data through the AccessibilityService API. By using these interfaces, the app enables you to control your device from a distance, making it easier to use your device if you have difficulty reaching the screen or have difficulty using the physical buttons.
