PicApport PhotoSync ist eine App für Android die es ermöglicht, Fotos und Videos, die mit dem Handy oder Tablett gemacht wurden, bequem und auf Wunsch sogar vollautomatisch, auf den heimischen PicApport Fotoserver zu übertragen.Die wesentlichsten Funktionen der in der Version 1.0 vorliegenden Sync-App sind:
- Manuelle Synchronisation von Fotos und Videos
- Vollautomatische Synchronisation über ein Ereignis (definiert über Datum und Uhrzeit)
- Vordefinition jener Alben/Ordner auf dem Handy bzw. Tablet, welche für die Synchronisation in Frage kommen (damit ist z.B. der Ausschluss von Whatsapp-Alben möglich)
- Zusätzlich kann bei der Synchronisations-Auswahl über Filteroptionen die Anzeige der Fotos und Videos noch genauer gesteuert werden
- Einfache und schnelle Auswahl von einzelnen Fotos oder ganzen Bereichen
- Durch unterschiedliche Symbole und Farben ist für jedes Foto bzw. Video der aktuelle Übertragungs-/ Synchronisationsstatus sofort erkennbar
- Metadaten wie Fototitel oder Tags (Schlagworte) werden bereits auf dem Handy/Tablet bequem erfasst und den Fotos zugeordnet. Die Tags werden individuell vordefiniert und stehen dann bei der Synchronisation als Schnellauswahl zur Verfügung.
- Optionale Einstellmöglichkeit, dass die Synchronisation nur über WLAN erfolgen darf. Dabei ist sogar die Einschränkung auf ein bestimmtes WLAN-Netz möglich (über SSID).
- Die PicApport-Seite kann direkt über die Sync-App aufgerufen werden. Die Anmeldedaten werden dabei automatisch aus den Verbindungseinstellungen der Sync-App übernommen.
