Remote control the phone camera shutter from your smartwatch and take a picture without touching your phone.

Please watch the video and read the FAQ:
http://www.cameraremotewatch.com/

Open the phone app "Camera Remote Watch" and adjust the camera view.

On your watch: open the app "Camera Remote Watch" and tap the Camera button to trigger the camera shutter on your phone.

The photo will be stored in your phone photo gallery and you can access it with the Android "Gallery" app.

A copy of the photo will be shown on your watch, so that you can check if it looks good or if you should take another picture.

Please make sure that the watch and the phone are connected before starting to take pictures. Be patient when downloading the new photo (the watch is slow). If the watch display goes black during the download of the photo, just tap the watch screen to switch the display on again.

If you have a phone that is not officially supported by Android, the phone app Camera Remote Watch may not work on your phone.

This app works also with Wear OS smartwatches.

I just need to take basic group photos at the state park's scenic photo stations without having to run from the phone to the group. After tinkering with the app's camera settings and taking some sample photos, it works as advertised on my Vivo 4 and Galaxy S23 Plus. The photo quality is similar to what I take with the default camera app. It would be nice to have more control of the camera settings, but it gets the job done.

It technically works, but the processing is slow and the photo quality isn't the best. After you click the button on your Fitbit, it takes 20-30 seconds to process before you can preview the picture. If your phone has features like night sight or portrait mode, those won't work through this app. It will work for taking photos in bright light or if you want a flash. You can't access the photos in the app. Now that Google owns Fitbit, they need to build this function into their own camera app.

The app does work with my versa and galaxy s8, however showing a connection error it does take the picture. Bad review because it is incredibly slow. If I want to take a picture it first takes up to 2-3 minutes to connect with the watch and then it takes multiple seconds for it to make the actual picture. Also the picture format is smaller than my normal camera. Would be much better if it got faster and worked with the normal camera shutter!

Custom app clamps photo size and doesn't utilize my phone's incredibly high quality camera. Also takes multiple seconds to register a hit to the "take photo" button, even with the timer off, meaning you can't capture "in the moment" shots. It worked, technically, but not well.

I was so excited to see this app to connect my garmin watch to my phone but have been terribly disappointed in it! The delay is so long once you have clicked the button on your watch. By the time you get to your phone your photo isnt correct as you would've moved by then. Then it shows connecting for ages on your watch and you have to wait until its done before you can take another photo. Will be canceling my app .

Followed all instructions and FAQ. Watched video. Does not work as intended with my Pixel 2 and Fitbit Ionic. App does not save photos. Took pictures with ionic. You can see the screen freeze as if a picture was taken, but nothing saved on my device. Shortly after, I get a camera error on my Ionic, and again, nothing was saved to my phone. Also tried taking a picture with the app manually, without the Ionic, but again, nothing saved. Nice concept, but its just not working.

ok on FitbitVersa/Galaxy8+. Image taken is 4032x3024 but I set the flash to always fire in the app but it never fires. The camera does not do a good job, poor focus/iso/flash. wish it would trigger any camera app running. change timer setting to 0 to have almot no delay taking photo. Still get a long delay for photo to transmit back to watch display, may be sending the large file but should send thumb nail. I get the Camera Error if I try to take 1 after the other, u have to give it a few secs

I am having issues and would like a refund please. I did NOT dodge any instructions in your video, because though I paid the $1.99 + tax fee to buy the app for my phone, the FitBit itself is not downloading the Camera Remote Watch to the watch itself. It will install all the way (the pink bar goes up to full) and then dissapear again without showing that it has been installed. Did this a couple times with the same result. It will not do anything. Please refund. Thanks.
