I love the work Open Touch has done bringing what used to be exclusively PC source ports from some beloved games and making them playable on an android. The ports offered in Quad are a bit lacking compared with the ones in Delta, but they chose ones that can run decently on an android with it's OpenGL support. One frustrating aspect of Quad is the confusing and non user-friendly method of loading mods. Delta has a menu to browse your mod files but Quad doesn't. All in all a great app I recommend

If you want to play Quake 1 and 2 on your phone, this will give you an ugly, but passable experience. Tweaking the graphical settings will crash the engine on Quake 1 and fail entirely on Quake 2, so don't even try it. You can tweak everything else though. Quad Touch is a limiting experience overall, but it does what it sets out to do.

So I'm a big fan of Delta Touch, and I believe that app is perfect, and I've basically played all the classic doom games on Delta Touch I've also used Zeta Touch, and that is just as good. But with Quad Touch, the polish isn't there. Weapon switching only works one way. (The down arrow does not work), and even the shoot button doesn't work as well as it does on Delta Touch and Zeta Touch.

It's almost on par with great Delta Touch, which is really impressive for the price! QW, DP and both Q2 engines run great, haven't tried Q3 and H2 yet. Quakespasm crashes on a start of new game. My main issue is with Wrath. Menu is navigated by mouse only, and it somehow reads both right and left as right/both up and down as down, and eventually ventures offscreen. I managed to press Begin this way, but profile creation box is higher and enter on emulated keyboard doesn't work.

Quad Touch seems to do what it sets out to do for a great price. I haven't tested out a lot of mods, but I've tested everything it claims to run on the page. The controller support is fantastic and works great. Multiplayer seems to work with Darkplaces and includes a barebones server query so you can find a server to play on. I had more luck with the updated QuakeWorld than with Darkplaces when it came to multiplayer, but it does work including asset downloading. Pretty awesome stuff!

brillant and i mean really good. Just a few things bug me with the darkplaces engine. 1. No shadows. No world shadows or dynamic light shadows which add so much more to the game. 2. Bloom lighting effects dont work. 3. water reflections dont work. If you fix these.. you will go down in history as the best porter of games... nah, i would just be really happy.

This is an another excellent batch of source ports from Open Touch Gaming - a real joy to play Quake, Quake 2, Quake 3, Open Arena and Hexen 2 and perhaps a massive slew of mods on your phone - or if you're like me, you fancy a controller and are probably using an Nvidia Shield. It's fantastic but I can't give it a 5 star as it stands for several reasons. One is performance in Quake 3 and Open Arena, it's not great as QIII4A beats Quad Touch in this aspect and two is in Hexen 2, pressing the B button on my controller turns me into a sheep... Every single time despite the fact this is relegated to an item in the game, that needs serious fixing asap, it's frustrating. 3 is that it feels unfinished, despite the touch menus being taken straight from Delta Touch, the weapon wheel function isn't working right, custom inputs are keys that can't be remapped within the games leaving you with messages like salute, taunt and wave in Quake 2, thus leaving you unable to rebind their functions in the options menu of the game, it's still rough. While what's already here is really fantastic and I'm glad I paid for it, I'm hoping to see updates that fix these issues fast, it's still a beta.

Had lots of fun with it, but I can no longer load my save files in Q2 base engine. Every time I get an error message: “ERROR: Game error: Savegame from an older version." Looks like something broke savegame compatibility in the newer version. I was in the second half of the game so it is quite frustrating. Other than that, great gameplay experience. Having a way to fix this issue I will give five stars. EDIT: Yes, it is the first time.
