It's cute for what it is. Has 1 free model but requires purchase to get the others, which is fair. I've found the included model (base Llama 3.2 with 1 billion parameters) is snappy and answers most generic questions well. There are other free options in the Play Store that allow for model downloads and have multimodal capabilities. I keep this app just to play with from time to time. I do really like the slick marquee of sample prompts. Very nice UI.

Using a Pixel 6 for context. Every model gives a ram warning and occasional crashes, even if my available ram is well over the requirements. Seems like the requirements should be raised? Somehow, Llama 3.2 1b runs better than the smaller models. I'm impressed that Deepseek R1 8B works at all! However, it takes 3 minutes to start processing a response and outputs at about 1 word per second. I'm not quite sure if this speed is within parameters or if it's running too slow. Overall, very nice!

Galaxy S22, your mileage may vary. This app works flawlessly offline, using Meta's Llama model as a base. I take issue with the request for payment models for other people's work. If your need is a LLM on your phone and Gemini isn't serving your needs, this is a good place to start looking for alternatives. I didn't experience any slowdown, crashing, or problems.

Overall good. I thought it'd be a GUI for Ollama website so was a bit bummed there. Price is fine. Dev's gotta eat. 😉 Running decent on Pixel 8 Pro and some models struggle/crash (as is to be expected). Unfortunately, we don't have many public lightweight models available for software like this to use. Requesting more Dolphin models. Ideally 'dolphin-llama3' on Ollama. I don't like the newer 'dolphin3' with the updated Llama 3.1. It's wordy. 'dolphincoder' may be a nice add as well.

I will increase my rating when the developer understands that not even the latest flagship phones have enough VRAM to run any of these models with any stability and needs to redesign the app to run models on the CPU/RAM!

The idea behind this app is fantastic and has a lot of potential 👍 . However, the requirement of a minimum of 8 GB RAM to run locally on Android devices makes it inaccessible for many users with mid-range or older devices. Optimizing the app to be more resource-efficient would greatly improve its accessibility and user experience

Thank you for bringing up a good initiative to emancipate from LLM giants and their mystical servers. HOWEVER I must say that having to pay to access open-source models is missing the point of the initial initiative. Users should not be subjected to paywall in an open-source context IMO. I've paid my share for the app to help you continue your project. Consider it a donation for your work, and I hope you'll understand the point being made in this review. Stars will then go up! Keep at it! :)
