Long time user of Thunderbird happy to see an android version available. Import/setup was simple for my 7 accounts. It seems to work well so far. I hope transferring emails between accounts is added soon. That's the glaring ommission I see. Unified options need to be added (Spam, Trash, Archive, Drafts, Sent) . These folders should be separated and affixed to the top of the account list, not in the currently viewed account. More swipe options pls, i. e. Short/Long. Prefer buttons @ bottom.

Oh, I came out at last! Thank you for your special work, Mozilla's team. Installed, works perfectly. Of course, the best of this application is yet to come. It would be great if you could adjust the color or at least the background gradation of unread and read emails in the list. And I have a question, here on Google Play you can see that there is a built-in in-App purchase in the application. It's true? And what is paid in this program? I would like to know this. I searched and did not find.

Missing features? This app is extremely limited compared to the desktop client. The pros at the moment were importing multiple email accounts was genuinely easy. The QR code transfer method while a tad slow, was at least efficient and relatively hassle free The cons: Where's all the normal features like the desktop has? The app features a unified inbox, but no other unified folders like, junk or trash? And no option I can find to move a message to another folder.

I used to use Thunderbird on my desktop way back. On my phone I used GMail for years. Thunderbird is SO MUCH better! It's small. It's fast! It's open source. It's actually deleting when you select to delete which was a problem with the Gmail app where emails would still be there when I check the account on the computer later. I am so glad my favorite Thunderbird is now on Android! Thank you!

I didn't even see until actually coming here to leave a review that this was based off of K-9 Mail, which makes sense. They're both absolutely great, but I just love Thunderbird. Glad it's here on mobile! Absolutely no issues so far. Syncs, deletes, all the stuff it should do. If you don't blindy worship Gmail or any other first party apps, this is one of the far better choices. Have a Gmail, Yahoo, and Hotmail account linked with no problems anywhere.

A very solid email client! I've known about the Thunderbird brand for many years and I'm so glad it's finally available on Android. It's very good but obviously not perfect. I would love it to notify me of emails more instantaneously and the layout could use a more modern feel. But I'm really liking it so far and it has performed very well with my Gmail account. I await for future updates to further improve this product! I really appreciate Mozilla and their mission for the web. Go Thunderbird!

The desktop version of Thunderbird has a setting allowing it to download emails but NOT delete them from the server. That way I can have one master computer that downloads ALL emails and deletes them, but other computers can just read the latest emails but not delete them so they are still available for downloading to the master computer. I cannot find that feature in the Android version. Without that feature, I can't use it.

I've been using Thunderbird on desktop for many years and I love it. But the Android app doesn't work very good. Emails arrive much later than a few other email apps I tried, and happens with all my email addresses (Gmail, Outlook, work email). I tried changing all possible settings, including Android battery settings, and waited for a few days, but no change - emails arrive from a few minutes to half an hour late.
