Cam works for 30 seconds, and then the app asks to connect to the camera it was displaying but dropped. I have to delete the app and files and reboot the phone, and reinstall the app, just to have it work for only 30 seconds again. UPDATE: I am able to use the microscope wired with a usb-micro to usb-c with my phone using the "next camera" app.

If only max-see wasn't blind. Was working last year, thought I damaged it, so bought a new one to find it looks exactly the same problem; a distorted block of pixels unable to see anything when recording. I'm able to capture recordings from a different app luckily, but it's a shame it's own program doesn't record.

I'm on the Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 and this app will not let me take pictures. It says "permission required" but it never asks for permission, and I have no way of giving it permission. I've tried. I cleared the cache and data. I've looked through settings. I just have to take a screenshot on my phone to capture photos. It's annoying.

Edit: The app works again. Thanks for fixing it so quickly. In the ~2 years that I've had the app it's been great. 8/23/23 one star review: The Max-See app is not working after yesterday's update. I've never had any issues before. When I tap the shutter button the app gives me the error that permission is denied. It opens the app settings where the permission setting is grayed out and I cannot tap it to open it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and cleared both the storage and cache.

Im giving it the benefit of the doubt for now. But I have tried to use the app on two different phones. Both connected to the microscope. But the screen stayed black and I couldn't see anything that the microscope was seeing. I did however use it with my Surface Book 2 and was very happy with how it worked. Just wished i could get it to work on my phone too

The app won't open anymore! When I try to start it, it just closes immediately! I tried force-stopping and clearing data, then re-starting it a few times, but that didn't fix the issue -- so I uninstalled and re-installed the app, but that didn't do any good either! It's still not working! This makes my macroscope absolutely useless at a time when I really need to use it! Please, PLEASE fix this!!!

A bit strange on Samsung Galaxy 9...but figured it out and it works fine. Saves files as PNG file-type, can we change that ? When app first opened, took picture of magnified cloth..app wouldn't change image as I moved scope around desk to other objects..even after closing and reopening app, cloth image was "stuck" on app screen...noticed protective plastic cover was still on scope, removed, then image from scope became "live" as expected.."stuck" image gone. No App needed on USB in Win10 on PC.

Edit* the app does work. But not until the scope is turned on and your phone is connected to the scopes wi-fi. I didn't see any mention of this in the instructions. So if your having the same problem, just don't open the app until your connected. Now it works great! And i can't wait to use it in the salon to help my clients! Just downloaded the app and it closes as soon as I try to open it. Rendering the microscope useless.
