This app isn't bad, it could definitely use some improvements. The app is pretty simple and easy to use, it teaches you the correct way to write each character. The only issue I have is the quiz only goes over matching the hiragana characters to their katakana versions. The quizzes don't test your writing ability. In fact, there is no writing practice. You can only watch the characters being written.

A wonderful tool for learning Japanese alphabet on the go, or just helping with memorization! Highly recommend to students. A little hard to understand interface but not worth docking a star.

I like how the table shows both kanas - hiragana and katakana - together and you can customize the quiz game, altough I would appreciate a lot if you could turn off the romanji letters on the screen since they can be misleading as how the actual real world phoneme sounds. I also think the sounds and romanji for the kanas じぢずづ could be differentiated better. By the way, there's also a BUG in the quiz where it starts the counter in the backend already with 1, so your first question is actually 2nd

it is a really good app, i like the design of the table, but the pronunciation and the timer is annoying me... could u put a way of removing it? i just want to guess the characters without time or someone speaking. AND ALSO the way u show the right characters is a little confusing, could u just show the right one? i already know the others are wrong, i just want to know the right.

App currently doesn't work in any way. The start screen is mostly blank, buttons are unresponsive, and you can't actually start the quiz. It serves ads though, so unfortunately that is the only thing they managed to get to work.

Less intuitive than expected but 100% free and will help people to learn basic kana with options for hiragana and katakana through their basic alphabets.

I won't lie, this is really good if you're learning hiragana and katakana, you can use this app to make sure you don't forget what you've learn. A solid 5 star for me.

Very restrictive as to quiz choices - katakana & hiragana are separated, as are dakuten, etc.
