One of the best apps I've used ever. Simple silent timer does it all and in a simple, concise interface that's easy to use and easy to configure. I'll say this app does one thing and it does it very well. It closes the app when your finished entering and continues to run in the background. I use it to silence my phone when at church. Now, I don't go three days b4 remembering that I'm still in vibrate mode and missed 3 calls. Very easy. Very precise. I've found what I needed for a long time. Thx

So far this app does exactly what i need it to - silence my phone for X amount of time. (My prior Motorola phone had such a function built-in, but my Samsung Galaxy S9 doesn't seem to have a way to silence my phone but only for a set amount of time. S9 appears to only be able to turn ON Do Not Disturb and then you have to remember to manually turn that back OFF, which I find very inconvenient compared to the built-in "timed" silencing function on my Moto X phone).

I had the problem described here below. It was fixed in a few days. I am fully satisfied with the app again. Thanks..... Original post: I have happily used this app for years every night. With latest update it now disables the sound from my phones alarm. This means I can no longer use my phone to wake me up in the morning. (I have allowed alarm in the phones setup of notifications, but this app ignores that). If not fixed, I can no longer use this app.

This app worked well until the latest update introduced "total silence." Now the only way I can tell to enable alarms while the app is on is to also enable vibration, defeating the purpose of the app. ----------- Update: Thank you for your note. I have installed the upgrade but am having trouble figuring out how to set it up the way it was before (alarms on, media on, vibrator off, call and text alerts off). Please advise. Thanks.

Used to have an app like this long ago and needed one again. I wish this one had JUST silent, not DND, as I don't care to get notifications, I just want it to be silenced for awhile and automatically turn back to sound. The language in the app makes this not clear. However, the UI is lovely and simple, great little app. Recommended if you need timed DND!

I wanted an app which shows up when I put my phone on vibrate/silent, where it's easy to set a time or duration (both options on screen at the same time, without a switch) and which goes away if I restore the ringer before the set time/duration. Sadly, this is not it. This is however a much better attempt than many other similar apps out there and may well be what some people are looking for. So give it a try and decide for yourself.

Shush was perfect, but rule changes took away the ability to let the system mute launch the app. Too bad. Of all the apps that attempted to fill the void, this one is simple, accomplishes all the functions, and is very user friendly. The UI is plain looking but perhaps that makes it even more perfect. I don't even miss the system mute/app launch functionality.

Great app, easy to use! It's perfect except for one thing. I wish it gave me the option to manually overide the silence/vibrate. As of now, if you turn on the sound it puts it right back on silent/vibrate (prevents accidentally turning up the volume). But sometimes I don't need silent/vibrate anymore so I wanna be able to quickly hit the sound button on the quick panel to turn the ringer sound back on. As it is, I have to open the app to cancel the rule if I don't need silent/vibrate anymore.
