This app is quite good but like a lot of users the APP goes off line and it's usually the server at Vaillant that's the problem most of the time. I wish there was a message board you could look at that advises users when there are outages as I spend ages sometimes trying to look for problems that are not there. Cheers

Like so many others, the app keeps losing Internet connection. We know it's not our Internet as we have had engineers out, and they can not find any issues. I have installed boosters and the problem still exists, and over that last couple of days, it has got progressively worse and this is the only way of controlling the heating system. Vaillant, please sort it out.

Sort out the connectivity! Never have i had to force quit, clear cache and redo then WiFi settings over and over! Even then when I manually turn it on via the app, I can't toggle the amount of time the heating stays on for. Have to force quit the app again! Vaillant, please investigate and sort it out! 31/10/2022 Update: schedules have completely broken down.... There's been updates that have been regression tested and now it's nigh on impossible to copy schedules without it going mad!

recently found out when coming home from a weekend away that my central heating was on full during the hottest days of the year. turns out, the vaillant thermostat lost communication with the receiver on the boiler, due to the supplied batteries failing. apparently the fail safe is to go to full temperature constantly! obviously the app wasn't connecting either, so no warning. imagine if I'd been away for a month. The idea was to save energy! vaillant suggested turning down the boiler temp lol

Absolutely dreadful app. Fails to connect to the Gateway on most days of the week, annoyingly usually when on the way home and I want to put the heating system on. Regularly tells me to check the internet connection when my tablet, phone etc are already connected. I think it is scandalous that a company such as Vaillant have not rectified this problem. Oh, and by the way, this app apparently does not work with Huawei phones, so even the Chinese are unable to break into it!

When it works, it's great. But I find the app very 'glitchy'. I've reported to Vaillant each time with screenshots but nothing changes. The app tells me I'm not connected to the Internet (I am), or that gateway is unreachable. Its happening too frequently now and I'm finding it incredibly frustrating.

The app could be very useful, but unfortunately it isn't. It does not show any parameters or info that can be found on the boiler itself, so if I want to check state of the bolier I need to physically go to it. Also, the app notifies me when there is an error of the boiler, but does not show what kind of error. Again, you need to go to the boiler. Vaillant clearly does not care about their products and customers once the sale is done.

This used to work, but since i changed my wifi provider i cant connect it to my boiler? Ive spoken to the technical support line about this and they say its a problem with the app on my phone. Thanks for trying to help but my only option now is to buy a new gateway and thermostat. With no guarantee it will work. Not worth the risk. Im getting a Hive. Cheaper and plugs straight into router!! Yay!
