HomeWAV is a cost effective and innovative way to allow those incarcerated in Detention Facilities across the country to visit with their families and friends in a home environment without the hassle of traveling or setting up an appointment to visit the inmate at the facility.

HomeWAV Mobile App Features:
- New to HomeWAV? Create a free account.
- Returning visitor? Login with your username and password.
- Fully registered and approved visitors will be able to choose the facility and add inmate.
- See available funds, add funds or transfer funds.
- Add, update or change credit/debit information.
- Only pay for the minutes you use. No plans or packages.
- Once logged in, the inmate will see you are available and can initiated a phone call, video call or message (*If allowed by facility).
- Visitor will receive notification once inmate is logged in.
- Easily schedule onsite visits (*If allowed by facility).
- No scheduling required for remote video visitations.

For best results, a WIFI connection and use of headset are suggested.
Note: Not available at all facilities. Phone and video costs will vary.

I dislike this app. It's costly and keeps glitching. And recently fees have went up (twice.) At first you didn't have to pay fees for this service but recently they added tax which is fine but as of today there is also a $2 handling fee for every $5 and the fee goes up, the more you spend. It's sad they take advantage of families that have inmates in these facilities and for an app that freezes up, sounds crackely and charges a small fortune for every character in one sentence and paragraph.

It was great when I first downloaded it but soon it started having problems. Now it won't let me text more than 10 spaces then every letter vanishes. I emailed customer support but it took a couple of complaints to get a response l. Overall I'm very disappointed. Sometimes the call quality is really bad or drops calls 😡😡😡

This is awful, my phone rings and rings and rings but the app won't let me answer it. The app constantly sends me notifications that the inmate is on line and ready for conversation every five minutes very annoying. I put 20 dollars in for services by mistake and it doesn't show up so that I can transfer it to the call feature or request a refund. It is so costly that your money gets eaten up so fast it is not worth the money. So sad that you prey on the incarcerateds family and friends this way

This app is a good thought, but the constant needing to hang up on an initial video call & sending msg to call back because I couldn't see or hear them is awful. Then there is nowhere that you can go in the app for FAQ's that are more topic based like if an inmate deletes you how do you re-add them to your account steps would be nice, but there's nothing & the tutorials are just as bad. The sound quality of the calls either echos really bad or it cuts out at different times isn't good either.

I use homeWAV to communicate and talk to my friend who is in Grant County, WA. At first I liked it, but now the quality of the calls are getting worse and worse. The video freezes constantly, audio is crackling and breaking up, and as of recently it's dropping calls- 9 out of 10 times! I've tried sending video messages and pictures from my media, & I'm being charged for doing so but I don't see where they've been uploaded to our conversation, nor does he? Although i'm able to recieve his!?

Oh my Lord this app is awful. First of all, the inmate's voice plays from the small speaker that you're supposed to put your phone up to during a call, not the regular speaker that allows you to hear a person and see their face at the same time. And then most of the time he can't hear me at all! I've tried my Bluetooth headset and 2 different speakers.... 75% of the time he gets no sound on his end. But we still get charged. Video messages i receive are zoomed in like 4x. HATE THIS APP.

This app is atrocious! 😡 When your inmate calls, you have to open the app, click around everywhere until everything starts populating correct amounts and names and such, then you MIGHT get to answer the call. That's a good day. Bad days include calls not popping up but you feeling it vibrate or hear it ring. I mate not being able to call out to you for no reason. There are times it shows I'm online and they call but I never am, so it causes inconvenience in schedules. Also skips and eats your $

Most of the time the app doesn't work. My LO leaves me messages and the last 4 it says video can't be played. 😠😠😠what's the point of having it!!! Most of the time when she calls the sound is horrible...either very loud and distorted or you can't hear. Sometimes you can't see them it's just a white screen. It's soooo aggravating!!!!! PLEASE fix these issues😠😠😠😠
