A Google user

So disappointing, was a waste of money. There are not enough people there. I think place fake photos to user's profiles without a photo is very bad. If they aren't serious enough to upload at least one picture why do you support them? There should be an option to filter out people without pictures. I set up search critera still my matches are full with people who don't even meet the basics. When setting up advanced search criteria there should be more than one option in regards to education/income. Also the phone app is too basic. For the amount of money this costs, this is not even average. I don't recommend at all.

Fake and stolen profiles, This is definitely a scam site with false or stolen identities that I have discovered after conducting profile checks. I spent money to meet real woman and this is appalling. I have contacted academic singles for there response. Please be aware and do face check profiles and if this the way they operate then there stealing money. , happy to speak to academic with the profiles

Pretty buggy. A little scammy. Certainly a bit misleading. Terrible customer service. Has a decent number of users though, which sort of makes up for the other stuff. (That said, not all of the users are signed up to Academic Singles. They seem to combine user pools with other sites like 40sDating.)

It's a SCAM and FRAUD! You opt in for a type of subscription and after a month they take from your credit card the x3 (triple) the value of the initial subscription. It's hard to unsubscribe from their paid premium subscription. They threaten you with sending debt collectors. In order to unsubscribe from the premium subscription they require you to send them your personal contact details (phone, address, etc). Some users have reported that after that they have received mail notification from debt collecting companies. Therefore I advise anyone not to send them any identifiable personal information and cancel the credit card used on this site before getting ripped of any more money.

The pray on hopeful love seekers. When people likes a profile, it appears as a "real" message and replying the message you'll never get response as they don't have a paying profile. Not possible to distinguish between paying profiles and free profiles. Search is not very local. Must be possible to limit who's interested locally when yourself are not very movable. The app is slow and they spam you with emails of profiles with no interest. Placeholder pictures are too good looking. Just stop.

THIS IS A SCAM AND FRAUD! They charge you 3x what they quoted (If you ask for money back they wont reply) I tried to cancel membership sending a written letter as requested . . . no reply. So I've cancelled my card and had to get a new one. No doubt they will have the audacity to chase me for money when the membership is up. I'm lucky to have some funds so I'm looking into the costs of chasing them legally I wont make money but we can't let companies get away with this.

The app runs very very slowly, there is really no way to see unblurred photos of anyone or chat with anyone without paying, and it's really expensive! Makes the most expensive Tinder option look cheap!

Bad. This dating site is very misleading. 1. it says free, except you can't see a face unless you pay. 2. they quoted $29.95 for a 1 month subscription but then deducted $119.50 and said they cannot refund the rest, that's fraud. 3. the name says ACADEMIC singles, but the majority of people on here are not Academics, far from it! 4. they send you notifications by email with a lovely looking person who has shown interest and when you open the profile, it turns out to be a scruffy old man.
