I had no problem using the old app but the PD wanted to “improve” things with this new app and it is not user friendly. I can’t update it to the present day. I deleted it and am reinstalling. Hopefully it will work better. If not I may cancel my subscription. The old app was easier to use. This one is too cumbersome. When I open the app it opens in yesterday’s paper and there is no way to update it. I may have to cancel my subscription.

Love The Press dont get me wrong. I wish I could still have it delivered, even if I stopped a few other things - entertainment & pizza we could still not afford it. So e edition it is Costs$$$ too much If the app does open maybe 4-5 days of the 7 there are inconsistencies on each page, which results in not all articles being accessible, some will open but arent able to use the apps nor my phones read aloud functions. I read(listen to) it after 10am, too late to call &get account credited. SMH.

My preference is still the print edition, but when I'm up too early or away from home, the online edition will do even though I'm using just my small phone screen for viewing. I hope both options continue to be available far into the future. The Press Democrat is a great paper!

Easy to use. I was concerned about switching from the real thing to digital format but the transition was much easier than i expected. Plus with my aging vision the additional features of expanding the print it has made it easier and faster to read my favorite local newspaper.

Ok. After emailing PD about the login issues, they seem to have been fixed. I really like the content of the paper. I only wished they improved the formatting of the articles. The font and spacing seems to be copied from the physical paper. It they used a format similar to the New York times app, this would be a 5 star app.

I do not LIKE this new E edition at all. I can not print out my Crossword puzzle. I can download it on my phone (which is very small print) but can not figure how to download to my laptop. There is a ad on the top of the page that takes space and I can not get rid of it. Let me repeat myself "I DO NOT LIKE THIS NEW E EDITION.

The newest update has made the app extremely difficult to use. I have to repeatedly bang on the screen to get an article to open into a readable view. Also, why, with every single update, do we need to log back in? Other apps when they update manage to retain a user logged in to the app.
