I've loved ZIIP for years. Vowed to always have one, and told everyone about it. Now suddenly the app won't sync with my device. Tried all the troubleshooting, updating, location on, etc. The device doesn't work without the app and they offer no solution. Now I have a $400 paperweight? This is a huge customer service fail, they just lost a lifelong customer and don't seem to care.

If you're having issues with this app syncing to your device, yes, make sure that you have the latest version of the app and location settings turned on, more importantly check for firmware updates for the device. Mine wasn't syncing to the treatments I selected, I found that the device needed firmware updates, no more syncing issues. It works great now. Go to your account profile in the app, select Firmware from the menu, turn on the device and follow the prompts.

The videos are impossible to follow. The movements/steps aren't consistent, you can't keep up unless you're psychic, important instructions that should be provided before the movement are provided after it. Even if you delay your Ziip it doesn't help! You never know what the next position is or what speed to go at. Given the cost of this machine, just do better videos. It's ridiculous. Provide instructions before the movement so we know what to do.

The Halo lasted about 3 months and then wouldn't connect to the app anymore. Received a replacement which then lasted for exactly one treatment before it switched off and it was not possible to switch it back on. They offered another replacement, but I really lost trust in this device as there are clearly some quality issues, so asked for a refund instead. Overall a very underwhelming experience.

I would not buy this until you are able to test and make sure it works with your phone. I was really excited to try the Ziip after reading reviews about the device. I went and bought it (not cheap!), downloaded the app to my Android device, powered up the Ziip, and went to sync treatments. Nothing. The device won't sync. It hangs, tells me to move closer (even when holding it right on the phone), tells me it was almost there but was interrupted, etc. I read the FAQs, made sure my device was working properly, made sure I had location on, etc. I even put the app on my iPhone. Same thing. I contacted customer service, who got back to me within 24-48 hours and told me that they had "never had a device turn on normally and act completely normal except for syncing." I asked if I should delete and reinstall the app and was told "that couldn't hurt." So I did. Same issues, but I also saw all the reviews from people who said they had trouble syncing from an Android device. I went back to customer service and told them it still wasn't working and noted that a lot of the reviews seemed to contradict the claim that they had never heard of this happening before. They sent me the section of the FAQ about turning on location services and told me to change the setting to allow location to be on. "This should work! Keep us posted." In response I sent them the screenshot of my app settings showing that location is on for ZIIP, but it still doesn't work. That was a week ago. No other response since then. I guess it is back to Neimans to see if they will refund my money. Too bad.

Whilst I'm enjoying the results of my ZIIP halo, the app experience is really unpredictable. The device will sync with my pixel 6 pro usually if I'm just doing one treatment but if I try to do additional treatments straight after, the app won't always sync again. I also can't update the firmware from version 27 to 31, it keeps coming up with an error message. I've had no response from the support email or Instagram DM. For such an expensive device I'm really disappointed with the after care.

Update; I contacted customer service, Mary was great at sending me instructions so I need to change my review. No problem connecting tonight, twice! You need to go settings and into app settings to turn on location permission. Now to see how it performs! I got it to pair last night after an hour if messing with it, Android. Tonight I paired it after a few minutes but lost connection and can't get it to pair again!

I'm utterly Heartbroken. Read all the bad reviews and I'm sad to confirm that they are all true. This is a great device with a really bad app. This will not connect to any phone that I try with, both Androids and iPhones old and new. I've tried all the troubleshooting, everything is as should be and it still won't connect to anything.
