Great app! Would be good if there was a way to automatically snooze picture notifications if you're connected to a metered WiFi network.

This service has been great for sending alerts for a ZFS pool in a homelab. A different push service failed to send alerts when the pool was degraded, so it was time for a change. Like others have mentioned, email alerts aren't reliable or timely. Pushover alerts have been instant. You can also create apps via Pushover with their own API tokens for separate services. Pushover also has an API hit count, unlike the previous push service that I used.

So great and easy to use. I wanted something that could listen a freelance website and send me notifications when clients send new messages, or new projects are posted. For it, I made a simple Chrome extension to get this information, and Pushover API to send the notifications to my phone. Pushover setup went smoothly and easily, and now it works like a charm!

Pushover is so easy to use and set up. No complicated APIs, no pages and pages of documentation just simple examples which are perfect. It took just a couple of minutes to set up an application and use the php snippet and notifications were pushing instantly. Best app I've used in a long time and more than happy to pay for the license.

Updated my review! Thank you so much for adding DND as I previously requested! It looks like the widget DND button is a bit buggy. It has a very small clickable area making it difficult to press. Finally, one last nice to have feature would be a 1x1 button widget to toggle DND mode on /off. Other than that brilliant app, very reliable. Love it! Thanks!

Perfect solution to my home automation environment needs for pushing notifications to my phone. I previously tried using text messages and emails, but those both lacked the ability to finely control what sounds to use for each notification. Pushover provides everything I ever needed for posting notifications!
