First impression is a nicely designed interface, impressed to see the lesser used footpaths near my house are on there. I liked the calculations of pollution generated and calories used for each different mode of transport. Also liked seeing what3words on there. Not sure if there are bugs in calculating routes as haven't used it that much but will try it out some more. App is a good idea to make you think more about your journeys!

I used this app to follow a walk on footpaths along the Stour Valley. It all seemed great but then I realised the blue location dot was not moving with me. The only way to update your current position appears to be to exit the current view and re-entering. Frustratingly, the location dot shows your position for a split second before changing the map view. It would also be good to be able to shrink the suggested walks at the bottom of the screen to get a full screen map view. Otherwise, great!

Whoever did the route planning aspect of this app did a good job, though I have noticed it doesn't know about some footpaths. However, there are some major problems with this app which means you simply should not try to rely on it for navigation when you're out and about. 1. It sometimes just won't open and hangs on the splash screen. 2. If it does load properly, that's the point where it seems to gather location data. It doesn't seem to be able to update your position when you move. It has the permissions to do so and the OS map app was able to track position when Kent Connected still assumed I was at home. 3. Sometimes it'll spuriously complain that it can't connect to the internet, when other apps have no problem. 3 silly bugs that shouldn't be hard to fix, but until they are - this app is not fit for purpose. It's a shame, because the core functionality is good. They've got the hard part working, and fallen down on the basics.

Decent app some annoying bugs Doesn't have all footpaths! Opening screen should allow closure of bottom text box. When you switch from app to something else or screen off phone app loses itself and no longer updates your position, it sort of assumes you will have app open screen on which is unrealistic. Sometimes doesn't open properly at all (1 in 10) Should have a memory function to cater with the frequent crashes. Should not assume WiFi always on as it does

Not great. Put in my work to home route and it takes you along all the dangerous main roads. Was hoping it would make use of byways and off road routes after looking at the pictures but no. Shame really, could have been useful.

Great idea but needs more work. I'm using it for walks in the countryside but it often doesn't load if the reception is poor. It also doesn't show gates and stiles reliably and as I have a large dog we often end up retracing our steps.

App appears to be no longer supported, the Explorer Kent option shows a blank screen with occasional "Weak GPS Signal" message, even though my other apps know exactly where I am.

Not entirely sure what this gives us that existing software doesn't? That said, seems to work well planning a journey via road routes by bike. Wish it could include public footpaths/byways etc. Then it would be worth using!
