Dangerous, bad update v1.2.00! Smartdrive will start and stop with only minor wrist movement (no tap), even when tap sensitivity is set all the way down. Do not update to v1. 2 if you can avoid it. Permobil says that their developers are "working on it", and that we should use a physical control dial in the meantime. I cannot believe that they have not immediately issued a version rollback. That decision makes ZERO sense and is very dangerous.

I just need the device to work when I need to use it. Devs released an update that causes the watch to be very sensitive to movement, making the device not work. If it isn't broke, please do not fix it. The Smartdrive allows to me access places I can't normally, but if the device is a paperweight after an update, why bother?

What did you all do to the app during the update? This was working great then the last firmware update destroyed it. Any slight movement and it turns off. The responsiveness is off. It's ruined my smart drive use !!!

Downloaded from link on Permobil website and worked for a week, then stopped working. Got in contact with permobil and asked if there was an update, and they told me nobody knew if there was going to be an update for the watch app

Completely immobile after update because of constant vibration from the watch immediately deactivating the drive once starting. Needs an update or go back to previous firmware.

Getting this app to work with an Android phone and the TicWatch (the only wearable you can use i)s tedious at best and usually impossible. Moreover, it is not compatible with Android 10. Somehow, I was able to use the SmartDrive MX2+ app on the TicWatch without a phone in the loop for three months and everything was fine until one day the SmartDrive wouldn't turn off and it crashed me into heavy furniture causing damage to me, my chair, and the furniture. Now it won't operate without a phone and to make everything really worse, this app is not compatible with Android 10 which my phone has. So, many thousands of dollars have gone out the window for a product that is severely flawed, let alone dangerous. The reps at the mfr. are great and eager to help, but they are saddled with a lemon. The recent update helped in some ways, but it can't get around the terrible hardware. In fact, often the watch is useless as it will not accept command touches, simply won't, even after resetting many times. This particular watch is defective for sure, but the entire interface was not really put through any educated or experienced usability testing or it wouldn't look and act the way it does. Making things really the pits is the most abysmal battery life of any electronic anything I have used since the days of transistor radios and pocket calculators. Less than two (that's *2*) hours is not unusual, despite all the power-saving things one can do, as well as factory tips. The TicWatch is abysmally awful. It will not accept commands almost every time, then when it does it is not the command you were trying to reach. It is a total embarrassment to whomever invented the SmartDrive. Deserves a negative 25.

Before March 2022 when using this app the TicWatch 2, the watch performance and battery life was very poor, despite the app in itself working well. I would have given it two stars. However now with purchasing the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, I am absolutely thrilled with the seemless pairing of smart watch to SmartDrive. I can highly recommend this app only for the TicWatch version 3, absolutely avoid using the E2. If you are an E2 user, I highly recommend the upgrade, the next version up uses the latest SnapDragon platform, which is a massive improvement. Permobil lists it works with the E3, but I can confirm it also works with the TicWatch Pro too. The battery life of the Pro 3 Ultra was impressive, seems to last for 3 days between charges, and when using the SmartDrive for three hours, the battery life went from 86% to 74% which is leaps and bounds ahead of the previous watch. The app works the same way as always, but you'll get full responsiveness and be able to get in and out of the app in @2 seconds and don't have to worry about keeping it charged. This gives the SmartDrive MX2+ user full confidence and control. About time!

This is such a step up from the original band. I've found it easy to install and use. I don't have disconnection issues like I had previously. Honestly I love it. It makes the Smart Drive work the way I thought it would when we got it. Just a couple of little tweaks and it could be even better. (Not sure if this is the best place to put this. Let me know if it isn't and I'll move it) - Have an option to stop showing the Power Assist Timeout message. I understand why the watch timed out. I don't need to see it every time. - Have an option to change the time between taps. With the old band I knew how often I could push to help it up the hill. The new app seems to allow more time between pushes, so often the watch will get confused when I'm going up hills and trying to help. It's not the best place for the power assist to cut out.
