I will immediately give 5 stars of you add one thing: Please please please make it so the last screen of a game stays until the user clicks continue. As a beginner it is vital to know how the checkmate worked out. Unfortunately as soon as the enemy does it's last move the game is immediately over and the next screen appears instantly which is very annoying.

Don't get me wrong the boards are fantastic and even the app isn't too bad when it works the issues I have run into is crashing relatively frequently especially when attempting to look at recent games played, you cannot set your birthday to anything more recent than Jan 1 2000, and the app is pretty much empty outside of paying for a subscription which I caved and got. I'd really like to change this review to 5 stars if some of these issues get worked out.

The app is a cash grabber for sure, I like the board (I have the pro) and the pieces are nice enough. My main issue with it is in order to use the smart features of the smart board you'll need to pay a subscription. The board is already $200, I can understand some features being locked behind a subscription, like the streaming feature, or the analysis feature or even some chess bots, but you're telling me I only get 5 over the board games with it taking notations before hitting a pay wall? Smh..

Happy with the way the app is working. Lots of good features for free. I've used my Kingdom board almost 200 times since I purchased it in 2019, and I've downloaded and saved those games. I haven't had any problems with bugs for over a year now. People who say you need a subscription are wrong.

This is a great product with a lot potential, the app works well for AI games, as I can change the automation mode so I can play faster. I think most people buy this to play online though, for some reason there is no option to change automation for online games! Therefore I can't play a 10 minute or less game without losing on time. This is the main thing really letting it down, as this is the standard time for chess games. Can automation be integrated for all online games please??

It's an expensive hardware, and you need to pay for the suscription for playing over the board and to play against the AI. Dissapoining. They push the suscription on every page in the app and there is no way to dismiss it. The app is is hard to use, even finding how to chat to others is tricky. I lost 1/3 games due to time bug where my timer goes down faster than my opponent's. It's very frustrating to use this app, although the boars is a very cool concept.

The game works well enough once certain bugs are worked out like your Bluetooth connection. That said everything seems to be working fine. The pieces are a bit small and made out of plastic which is odd given the price. I'm sure in future additions they can manage to make these things out of wood so that it can have a classier look when showing it to friends. Because of their size and small weight they have a tendency to tip over frequently. Fix please!

The board is awesome, BUT often either the board or the app refuses to indicate what was the opponents move and I either have to switch to board view on the app or make an illegal move to make it work which further takes time after I have to notice it by my time ticking instead of the oppenents which does not just breaks concentration, but also becomes quite frustrating when it happens for the 5th time in a single match. Totally kills the fun.
