*At present, the instant upload backup of mobile phone photos will generate folders under Home/MyPhoto/SmartUpload on the NAS. Each folder has a maximum of 999, so if you have many photos to upload at the same time; for example, 4000 photos on the mobile phone, it will cut into five folders.

*For NAS model AS10 series user, if you have more than15000 photos in your phone and want to auto-backup at one time, we suggest go to NAS Off-peak Hours to disable background process and enable background process once upload finish.
*It may take a while for photo indexing and thumbnail making especially for some entry models may take a day to show up if you upload a lot of photos at the same time.

Terrible app, requires a lot more work. When you use it to automatically upload your camera photos, it organises the photos into yy/mm/dd folders based on thy date the app uploads them-this is fine as an option but I would like more control where the photos get uploaded and if I would like a flatter folder structure. The worst thing though is that the app can't see the photos! The thumbnail are black, and when u try and open them, they won't load. It also intermittently goes into relay mode.

Unable to stream videos through app, possible thro bcugh browser. These are mp4 files that are backed up from my phone. I am looking for a phone backup solution, where I can use the timeline to view photos and videos I backed up. Also used to share these photos with the family. I would prefer not to switch apps if possible, since this complicates the process for other members of the family.

Asustor's apps are incredibly buggy. Wish I had played around with it more before my return period was over. The first AiFoto would crash when trying to connect and auto backup/upload tasks would be stuck at partial upload. AiFoto 3 just keeps crashing when you look at the tasks tab and it's just stuck on the same number of uploads remaining. It's set to run in the background and it's been given permission to run in the background but it doesn't auto backup. Unfortunately, I have no other options to backup my phone photos automatically. I guess I'll just stick to periodic backups.

This app can help me automatically backup the pictures in my phone to my NAS, whether it is a picture I took, a picture I downloaded or a screenshot. but if I set the camera to save photos to the TF card by default, then it will not back up them at all. although other cloud storage apps will automatically recognize the photos restores in the TF card and automatically back them up. I think this is a big problem.

The default backup folder (Home) cannot be backed up to cloud or an external drive so your only protection is from hard drive failure in the NAS. Make sure you create a Shared folder on the NAS for your photos. Then at the bottom of the app select "Folder" and navigate to the folder you created to store your photos. This folder can now be backed up to cloud or external drive.

Please bring Face recognition to this AiFoto application. You will have more people moving away from cloud backups. It is essential for organizational purposes to have your photos organized automatically. Wishlist: Detect of duplicate photos, location map detector, auto uploading from phone directly to the photo app, automatically add photos to albums, private folders, should be able to delete photos from the phone after uploading, and Dark mode. Thank you!!

It works to backup my photos from my phone to the NAS but it stopped showing the photos after a few weeks in the gallery. I check on my nas and my new pictures get uploaded, they just don't show up in the app, very strange and their seems to be no way to force it to refresh. Happened to my phone and my wife's, its a shame.

Photo preview quality is bad compared to my gallery app (even though it's set to high quality preview). The zoom range is not as large as my gallery app. Those issue exists in both AiFoto and PhotoGallery. Also the WiFi only backup setting not working when connected via Tailscale using mobile data, it will still backup even though it shouldn't. UPDATE (17/05): still no original quality option even though the changelog says so. tailscale issue also not yet fixed
