Lingashtakam is a devotional song, a declaration of faith and devotion to Lord Shiva.

Reading/Chanting at least a few names of God daily is self-engaging and creates positive energy.

This signifies ones’ will/sankalpa of spending some devoted time, remembering God in our busy lives. It contradicts to simply listening the same in audio while our mind distracts us somewhere else and lacks our concentration.
