The new changes are terrible!!! Horrible layout, no gallery tab, so you have to scroll through all posts to find pictures. You have really downgraded the app and website!! We have lost half our followers, as they can no longer login or navigate through the site. The story used to be collapsed, now you have to scroll through the whole thing to see the latest posts. It feels like the website and app are straight out of the 90's.

Great tool. I've used Caring Bridge several times over the years. It's been wonderful at saving time keeping friends and family informed so I could commit more time supporting my family member who is sick. The app is a handy extension of the website. However, both the app and the website are due for updates. The interfaces are clunky and awkward by modern standards. Why can't I see all the journal entries in one list? Why is it so difficult to figure out how to get back to journal entries from?

I really like caring bridge when I access it on my computer- it's a phenomenal way to keep family/friends updated. But this phone app leaves so much to be desired. It is not easy to navigate. I'm having trouble downloading photos . It frequently gives me the "circle of thinking/ indecision". I don't need the extra stress of dealing with a faulty app when I'm dealing with a critically ill family member.

The app was never great, but it served its purpose. Since the recent update (June 2024) I can no longer log in at all. If I click on the Facebook option to log in, I immediately get an error message without even being able to enter any information. The error I get is "Your Facebook email is unavailable. Contact customer care to resolve." I'm a co-author on a site for my dad while he battles pancreatic cancer, and the last thing I need is login issues on a stupid app.

Deleted my previous 5 star after I started using the app. The reason for the new rating is because of this: I have frequent problems using the qwerty keyboard and so I like to be able to see what I am typing. When I try to type on the app, it adds space under what I have typed to put the text out of view. I find I have to frequently adjust and sometimes it glitches and adds a bunch of new lines, and won't stop. It may be a lag issue now that I think about it but that alone could be app breaking

The website a great platform for keeping folks up to date, but the app is terrible. Journal updates done on the website don't show up on the app. It crashes, and is very glitchy, photos disappear, and you can't "like/heart" people's comments on the app, just on the website. Use the website, don't bother annoying yourself with this app...it's terrible.

My experience with the app has vastly improved even over the past year. Photos are uploading more quickly. Captions are easier to add via the app, and the overall experience as an author has gone much smoother. The CaringBridge option provides such a respectful, private, and appropriately sober platform for families and friends experiencing distressful situations.

I hate to say it because I think CaringBridge is a fantastic website and it's been invaluable to us during my husband's cancer treatment. But this app is honestly pretty bad. Clicking any external link (and some internal links) crashes the app completely. You cannot see who hearts a post from the app. Navigating the site settings is unintuitive. Posting journal entries is super easy though. If you just need to fire off quick updates, then the app will work well for you.
