Really good app. And, app can be moved to external SD memory. This method of studying chess concepts is exponentially more efficient than learning from a book! The positions are taken from tournament games. After you find the solution, on-screen icon keys, let you rewind the game to the start position, and then advance one-move-at-time to the problems/puzzle position. In other words, learn how to avoid these pitfalls. App is very reasonably priced.

An amazing app. Haven't really explored all the features or even compared it to many other apps but this is exactly what a beginner/intermediate chess player needs, to get their openings right. Most of us are so confused with the beginning of the game as there are so many moves that seem right. This app is practice for exactly that, to narrow it down to a few good moves that you can be confident about. Great stuff in my opinion

This is a great app.. have been using for quite some while now. The app provides you with set positions to work through.. and even having solved a certain sequence of moves towards obtaining advantage, you can opt to play the game on against computer from that position.. or simply move on to the next set piece. Plus there's plenty more features to explore should you wish to, but I've been happy with just the set puzzles so far. Easily worth every bit of the 5 Stars given! Highly Recommended!

Good app , so this isn't really a criticism, but this app is for more advanced players in the middle or end game. Most of the combinations when playing for advantage are way beyond an average rated players ability. Most of it becomes guesswork. I decided to uninstall the app as these tournament moves are beyond my "for fun" rating. I'm not enjoying making constant mistakes with little hope of ever reaching this level of comprehension.

A-The + points : - We are going from one equation to the other -We can get helped B- The - points : - You get " advices" to move a piece by having it ignited. It is very unclear and we struggle more. - When necessary it is said " wrong move " but you have no idea why. - After several attempts the game " shows " you the moves one after the other until the solution. BUT in a such speed that you do not see anything , so you do not learn anything and you end up very frustrated.Fix that please !!

Very bad design. No explanation to the lines thrown at you. No undo move button until solved. Sometimes the puzzle autocompletes itself not letting you play. No restart button, you gotta move between puzzles to reset it. If you click a wrong button and switch the puzzle your progres is lost. Some puzzles are very good but the app itself is terrible. 2 stars thanks to the night mode.

This app presents a series of problems the user is supposed to figure out. It does that well enough. The problem is there is no instruction at all, so the app tells you when you make an incorrect move, but it does not say why the move is incorrect. Sometimes the error is obvious, but often enough I have no idea what I was supposed to do. In the end, not very helpful.

Best chess puzzle game in the store. It teaches you a sequence of moves to get an advantage in the game instead of chess puzzles with a few moves to checkmate. Additionally it shows you why a certain move is suboptimal or just is not the move you should make. This explanation consists of one reactive move from the opponent and would even be better if it showed you a simulation of moves of what would happen. But all in all, this is a great app to improve your chess skills.
