Downwell is a curious game about a young person venturing down a well in search of untold treasures with only his Gunboots for protection. Make your way further and further down into the darkness filled with nasty creatures and mysterious secrets to collect the spectacular red gems scattered about the rocks. Step into precariously placed shops and buy some helpful items or level up between levels to battle well-dwelling monsters and uncover hidden caves filled with riches and relics. Surprisingly great game! Fairly difficult to get very far with the small amount of health points your given. Keeps you busy though, starting from the start doesn't seem to get very old with the way the well changes layout every time. Very much worth a try, this game is awesome and entertaining!

Game is great. Fast. Challenging. Fun. Addictive. Android port lacks controller support unfortunately. This is a shame since tight controls are key to enjoying it at its fullest. Touch controls are ok for casually trying the game, but will make it impossible to progress.

This is a fantastic game, but it is flat out broken, at least on the Pixel 8 Pro. It doesn't recognize the scaling being done, making the navigation not work, and if you manage to get back to the home screen, the UI is all off until you restart the device entirely.

The control is good awful. There's no option to space out the controls for movement or make them bigger, so you're going to be frustrated the entire time and constantly either hitting the wrong direction by mistake or hitting just outside the tiny direction let so that your character sits still during critical moments. It's a nightmare to play with touch controls. Don't waste your money.

This is amazing! After several months, I managed to beat this. It is tons of fun. I do have a complaint aboout the controls. Sometimes, I press a button and it doesn't register. Other times, let go of the jump/shoot button, and have my other thumb on one of the move buttons, but it actually shoots. Oh, and sometimes it freezes in the level transitions. And the Timeout upgrade plays funny with the boss :P But, other than that, it absolutely rocks. <3

really cool game except for the controls. you can adjust the distance between left/right and jump, but you can't adjust between left and right. ideally there'd be an additional control so you could move left and right without taking your finger off the screen. I often try to tap left or right and just miss the button and die. it's quite frustrating.

great game too bad you can't turn off (or even lower the volume) on the extremely loud sound effects as far as I know! I really want that feature so I can listen to audiobooks and other stuff while playing. As of now only the background music can be turned off but that doesn't make a difference when the sound effects can't even be turned down! The effects are ear blistering loud.

The game is really good, definitely one of the best mobile games out there. Unfortunately I frequently experience crashes on my Samsung Galaxy Note8. I have never experienced this issue on the old version of the app (which has since been removed). I'm not sure whether it is purely the game's issue or the interaction with my system.
