You don't HAVE to pay to play and there's no ads to watch.... But there's a million animations you for every little thing, the levels stop being fun to play when it gets closer to level 1000, there's mini games that the game will intentionally make you fail, you'll get stuck playing the same level for a long time (sempiternal torture), and if you get power ups it basically forces you to use them.

The illusion of control. You win when they want you to win, and that becomes exceedingly scarce as you get further along in the game. There's really no incentive to stick with the game long term. Nearer players will rapidly finish more levels than you, and that is the key metric the entire game is based upon. This makes it impossible to finish quests like hatching the dragons, even if you okay for HOURS. They get 2 stars for not bombarding you with 3rd party ads, but that's where the good ends.

I enjoyed the game and thought spending some money on it wouldn't hurt but after buying extra coins/moves several times, I quickly noticed how quickly that escalated to needing even MORE and I started losing more levels constantly. It was frustrating but now I don't care if I lose. 900 coins for a few extra moves is ridiculous! Also there's no option to spend only a buck or two, those options went away soon as I paid and now they want me to purchase packages that are a minimum of $6.99 or $10!!

The art style is nice, the animations are fluid and the app runs really smooth. If you're wanting a puzzle game to just pick up and play on a whim, this game may not be for you. This app is very overloaded with extra features like mini challenges to earn points in for extra extra extra extra. You get the picture. Every login forces you to scroll through the 5+ challenge screens. Puzzles are designed to require power ups to beat after a certain point. It's not difficulty, it's p2w

This game gets more difficult the more levels you clear; the problem is I contacted them about having to spend two days on a level. The guy I talked to told me, without me even mentioning it, that the difficulty isn't based on money spent in the game. If it's not, why would he bring it up out of the blue?? They definitely want you to pay to win after certain levels, and even on lower levels, it's all illusion, you win when they want you to win. Not worth the download! I'm deleting it!

You will automatically win games when you first install it. A hard level may be accomplished after 5 or 6 rounds. Then, the levels will become ridiculously hard to win. You will start getting less moves as the levels become harder. Not much fun to play, so don't waste your time downloading it.

Yes, an ad free game. But, the levels become increasingly frustrating and just about impossible to complete. I'm at level 334 and am getting no where. They want you to pay to get to the next level by buying the in game assists. You get 5 attempts and are on time out until the lives refresh. Very frustrating.

reasonable like the ads which is nice. but many of the levels are super frustrating to get through. (I know I should be more willing to use the rare items I have to proceed but I prefer to keep them in reserve.) the King's Nightmare levels are great. Easy to wish there was more of them. If I could make any change to the game it would be to add a level select. I can play easier levels (for no reward) when I get frustrated. And I can show the early levels to friends.
