After 2 years, I tried this app again. It's even worse now. Before, you could go through the AI's picks and choose who you like. Now, that section is locked behind a pay wall. Setting minimum distance is too. Which is stupid since NONE of their competitors do that. How am I supposed to know if I like the app if I'm getting matched with people out of my country?!? Just setting the filter to YOUR COUNTRY is behind a paywall. Who does that?! There's no point in using this unless you pay.

Edit: it's unique for how it takes on as a dating app but for the most part I can't say that the profiles are not fake or created. Not many respond on the app and when they do it's usually from a far off country so I doubt much of it's legitimacy. Cool idea and definitely cool intro. But it's mostly flash and flare and glammer and that's it. Sad to see it like this. It has potential but is far from anything worthwhile

The AI setup for your account is pretty cool. Much different than other apps I've seen. I'm giving a star just because I haven't been bombarded by fake women. That's a plus. I'm taking a star away because the random photos I get to swipe on are not the ones I'm most attracted to. They save those for your daily "Iris picks". The app doesn't seem to have a lot of US based profiles. But I am VERY popular in the Philippines!

I decided to give this dating app a try for a month, like I usually do, but too bad, I only used this for like a week. I quickly lost interest in the app. TOO MANY of the discovery results were too sketchy because they either had just one photo, no bio, and/or no likes/dislikes. Also, despite the option of being able to give a reason why you want to pass on someone, the app seems to push people who match the descriptions you don't want.

So I gave this app another try to see if anything had changed from the last time I used it. Sad to say not much has changed. Like before they have you like/pass on pics to gather info on your tastes but now they show you the same pics over & over again just with different hairstyles & outfits to make it seem like they're different girls. If that wasn't bad enough they still give you as little options as possible to connect with someone you're interested in & hide everything behind a pay wall.

The incessant messages from the scary looking bot are infuriatingly slow. While choosing "my type" from a bunch of AI photos and passing on most, a message pops up that it would go faster if I "liked more people". I'm sure. Then when it came down to it, the extremely overweight and elderly men were (shockingly 🙄) nothing like what I had chosen or uploaded - looking at you, Bang Chan 😉 Anyway, I would recommend this app to someone not in the US and/or 60+ years old. No need to respond.

The algorithm here does seem to be generally more tailored to one's tastes than other apps. That being said I'm convinced the distance filters do nothing. I know that they only apply to the "discover" section, but since tabs aren't labeled I can't tell which section that is. And even if I could it doesn't matter because regardless of the tab >60% of profiles I see are about as far away as possible while still being technically on earth. Not bad, but there's definitely room for improvement.

Edit: I do find that the few people I have talked to on here are great and do seem like good matches to me. This app has a serious issue with distance. No matter how many times I pass and choose the "too far from me" option, I still get suggested people from other countries instead as matches. I would like if there was an option to not have your profile appear globally and only locally as I have 99+ likes all from the Phillipines.. I wanted to give this app more stars, but distance is a problem.
