Pixel Soldiers: Waterloo is a tactical turn based strategy game set during the late Napoleonic Wars.Become a Napoleonic General and take control of either the British, Prussian or French armies in scenarios starting with Napoleon’s crossing of the frontier into Belgium and ending with the Battle of Waterloo. Easy to play and difficult to master, Pixel Soldiers is a game for wargamers and casual gamers alike.

STRATEGY AND TACTICS
Use the terrain to your advantage: Keep vulnerable units behind ridges or hide them in trees. Turn nearby villages and farmhouses into defensive bastions.
Use your artillery for long range fire support or risk placing them near the enemy to use murderous canister shot.
Place your cavalry on the flanks or keep them in reserve for a devastating counter attack.
Use your various Infantry well. The 95th and Kings German Legion Rifles can outmatch any other at long range, whereas the Guardsmen and Imperial Guard are best suited for close range gritty fighting.
Will you push your troops forward and seize the initiative? Or will you set up a defensive line, await reinforcements and let the enemy come to you?
These and many more questions you will need to ask yourself. There are many ways to win the game.

I have had a major issue, specifically in the battle of Waterloo itself in the French Campaign, every time I get to the last turn, the game is just permanently stuck on the AI's turn. I have sat during their turn for a good 5 minutes with nothing happening, and closing the app makes me restart the battle. This is the second time it has happened now. It would be an easy 5 stars if I was not having this trouble. I hope this will be fixed soon so I can give this the review it otherwise deserves.

Own all Pixel Soldier games and this one is is a little different having three sides to play, instead of the customary two. I still think the WWI game is the most fun & well developed. Only problem with Waterloo is I am having a heck of a time winning the British campaign on the final battle. No reinforcements against a massive French force. Anyone have some tips to win? Also, for the dev, when should we expect the next release, can't wait!

Love it!! Fun, nice tactical game. I just think cavalry needs some other benefit to make it more meaningful. You know, cavalry is supposed to engage, and then break off. Perhaps after you order them to fire, they move back a square or two?? The whole point of cavalry units is to harass. Really they're only good for charging artillery, and disordered units. But EVERYTHING is good against those. The cavalry is good for spotting, and quick movements. Perhaps some extra tactic would make them better

Very fun game, quite a lot of strategy involved and I like that, my only gripe is that cavalry appear to suffer reduced damage, which is fine until they are put inside a farm or Fort, they suffer virtually no damage whilst In this terrain and can be maddening to play against. Other than that the game is great and I like that the game makes the british/dutch army separate to the prussians.

Updated REVIEW- Deservedly one of the HIGHEST RATED GAMES, yet sadly one of the least chosen to be played. Game cover pictures SHOULD be overhauled and look dynamic. The game is very complex in its mechanics but easy to play and learn. VERY TACTICAL AND STRATEGICAL. Game AI is very smart making realistic battle results. Campaign close to historical facts. Wellingtons army should be called the Allied Army, not outdated cliche British Army. Sudden battle end screens in franchise is only major flaw

Love this, only have a couple minor complaints . I would love to see more work with formations: square, column, line, with the option to deploy skirmishers (skirmishers are part of other games in this series, why not here?). Overall, though, this is a good take on napoleonic warfare

This game is exactly what I've been looking for. I love the Total War series on the PC and this game plays like a fun, stripped down version with a good, easy to use interface on a phone. I amost never spend money on apps, but if you enjoy strategy games, this is well worth the money. I will be buying some of the other games in this series for sure.

This is a great game. I just have two suggestions. First, please make it so that you have some choice in where you place your soldiers in sandbox mode. Second, I know this game isn't supposed to have complex grafics - It's called pixel soldier - but please make the cannons point the right way. Thanks for the great game!
