With this app you can choose to use any wallpaper you wish, and still have some control of the dynamic colors, independent on what your wallpaper has!Features :
1. A tutorial explaining you how to use it, including about Dynamic colors.
2. Choose the content (image/animation).
3. Choose what to do on double-tap : lock device or turn off display.
4. Choose the colors to request the OS to generate Dynamic colors from.
5. Some experimental flags.
Notes:
- It works by hosting your wallpaper inside itself, as it's a live wallpaper app.
- If you set the app as a live wallpaper app, it means you can't use another live wallpaper app that shows its content, within it. Only one live wallpaper app can be active. This is how Android works. I can't do anything about it.
You can still choose any other wallpaper for the lock-screen, though, instead of this one.
- For Dynamic colors to do anything, the OS must support it. If the OS doesn't support it, there is nothing I can do about it.
- The app's usage of accessibility is only for its feature of locking the screen, and does not collect any information and does not send any information.

Unfortunately doesn't work. Earlier version allowed me to import current wallpaper and set as lock screen only, but this version only allows lock and home screen or home screen only. Either way - setting the colours no longer works and the OS is still picking colours from the wallpaper. Again, this was not the case in earlier versions of this app. Also, the developer has an attitude problem and doesn't really help solve the issue. It's always "you're doing something wrong" or "it's the OS"

Irritating that I have to download an app to change a feature I should be able to opt off/turn off but thankfully such an app exists. I'm not tech savvy at all but I managed to stumble through the tutorial & figure things out; the only downside is I'm gonna have to go into this app to turn dynamic colors off every time I change my home wallpaper.

Works great but one minor issue is that every couple of weeks I'm having to go and set this app up again as my wallpaper and lockscreen. The devs response is also a bit snarky I can see his response to everyone is the same when given anything but a 5. So due to this I'm no longer using this app. No one is going to go to a small link to read a big forum thread (badly written) to find a small foot note). I can change my wallpaper using other apps just fine without needing to do it every week.

I use it to adjust the "Monet" (material you) colors on my Xiaomi 13T Pro with HyperOS (based on Android 14). The colors from the "imaginary" wallpaper are sometimes overwritten by the operating system after a while, but when I scroll down in the app and select "Use customized colors", it stays the same.

Had to install a sub app but does exactly what it says. I managed to save my wallpaper I could not find in my files for the life of me. Also allows you to choose the file save location. So good!

This app does its job well and succeeds where Repainter didn't! Finally I can pick my own accent color and not rely on the autogenerated ones, which just got worse (less choices) in Android 15. Super easy to set up and no root/adb/Shizuku required.

Add ability to crop the images. Right now it just fits to screen by zooming to the top left of the image. Without a proper preview it's hard to set the wallpaper correctly Edit: Found I had to turn off the scroll. Didn't realize it would change anything as it wasn't scrolling for me (it was centering on top-left). Upped the score because of this. Tho preview would be nice. Or just an extra option to crop stuff yourself. Unfortunately auto-centering doesn't work well for me

Great simple live wallpaper that's particularly good on systems that don't properly support money colour palette out-of-the-box across launchers (looking at you Samsung). It could really use a couple more background image settings to really be brilliant, including gradient colours plus overlays for image backgrounds (e.g. to dim it)
