If you play more than one of my Ancient Games, I suggest you delete the individual apps and install the main one (Ancient Games). It will allow you to play them all and save disk storage.

The past is full of fascinating board games that haves been mostly forgotten. The Ancient Games collection aims to resurrect them as a meticulously crafted mix between what a player wants from an historical game and what he/she expects of a modern application.

-Play against the IA, friends and random players from around the world.
-Play Online & Offline.
-Multiple collectibles : boards, game pieces, dice, nameplates, etc.
-Challenges (Fun rule variants)
-Free cloudsave across the collection : your progress in one game is available in all the others.
-Much more features to come!
-Languages : English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian.

Currently, the collection is comprised of four games : the Royal Game of Ur, Senet, XII Scripta and Puluc, but 40 games are in the works!
Each game will be added to the Ancient Games app and will have its own individual app as well.

The UI, game design, and overall feel are incredible. I also love that you can change the rules as needed. However, there is definitely something off with the AI - the difficulty levels don't feel any different (easy mode plays the same as hard mode), and the number of times the AI gets rolls to go their way, even when it is outright improbable for it to do so... is too high. It's happened too many times to too many people to be anything but a statistical anomaly.

Update... I changed setting from Hard to Normal and the AI's pieces are moving. It appears that it the Hard Level that might have a problem. I will amend my review to 4 stars for now. I was playing this game and loved it. However with this last update, when it's the AI's turn the dice are rolled, but the AI is not moving their pieces. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but no luck. So I uninstalled this game for now. I will check back from time to time to check if it's been fixed.

Senet has always been one of my favorite ancient games ever since I taught myself how to play it in high school. Please unlock the blue and black starter board in the game for me. For some reason, I can't access the rating from within the app no matter what I try. The Royal Game of Ur did it just fine. It's just that Senet absolutely refuses. Tapping the rate button does absolutely nothing even when I have strong, steady internet. The rate button seems to be broken, please fix it.

I am loving this app. It's fun, it explains the rules in a way that's simple to understand, but even gives you options to tweek some rules if you play differently. You get several games and different board styles to unlock. The ads are few and it's made by an indi developer rather than a big company. It's just really great overall.

Didn't even get to play it. Too many permissions and too much Google interference. Uninstalled. Update. Thanks. Looking forward to it. I used to play another Senet app a lot, a few years ago...then it just started cheating. Your theory on Perception Bias only goes so far to explain the total one-sidedness. Up to that point it was fine, even in favour of the player, but then got worse over time. Look forward to your update, to try this game. Cheers.

great app. Maybe instead of having to press a button to throw a number, an ability to choose between pressing the screen or shaking the phone/device to simmulate a throw could be placed in the settings as an added optional feature. it would save time when playing since the pace when 1 player only is playing the device itself can become quite fast.

Not bad at all. Looks good, plays well. Can be damn frustrating and feel like the dice is rigged but I read the developers article about it and that clearly isn't the case. Best version of this game (as is this developers Royal Game of Ur) on the store in terms of look and playability. Ads are far less intrusive than many games too. Only thing I could suggest updated is the ability to zoom in on the boards a little but it isn't a big issue for me.

Animation and music are great. Ads are only inbetween games. But the moment you are down to about 2 or 3 pieces left on the board the computer goes overdrive and rolls perfects all in a row wiping you out. Out of the blue. But the first half of the game feels balanced. Tried with all the dice sets. I want to keep this but the OP computer is super frustrating.
