A loot grinding game that charges you to hold your own loot. You have to pay for storage space but you need 40+ of one item to upgrade your gear. You can't craft potions you have to buy them or else your health is too low and you can't play the game. I thought this game was good at first and then it showed it's true colors. All the seasons pass is t shirts and sweat pants. You have to be lv 100 just to do the Halloween event. It won't even let you attempt the enemies if you're too low level.

Extremely laggy during fights and even the over view as well. Crashes every 3 large monster battles and even on lowest settings has way to much detail and environment clutter for a low setting that doesn't change much except via making the environment clutter slightly see through. This is a new phone and can take a lot but idk what about the app makes it so it's unable to play this and crash so much, all the while causing my phone to overheat within 2 min of using it unlike with other apps.

It will be hard to go far into this game free-to-play, as the bulk of extra storage space is locked behind a paywall, and the core gameplay loop will keep filling you up with items that you'll have to sell to make space. The monetization is going down a slippery FOMO slope so be wary. The monster fighting is fun at least, with a variety of weapons that cater to different skill levels and playstyles. They have added global matchmaking for a lot of important co-op fights which is great.

Great game as I have played the whole series, and for a mobile game it's better than about any other I have played. After playing the whole series I would recommend having paintball easier to obtainand lures like pokemon go as it's easy to have poisoned meat and tainted meat with all the ingredients already present. Please, please, please, I can't ask enough to just make God bugs more obtainable. I have millions of carpenter bugs but godbugs at lower rarity hold up progress far too much.

Was excited to play on my phone was pleased with the controls for the most part think the game is designed very well overall can be fun, definitely a grind, even more so than monster hunter games I've played, which is fine IF you can play. By that I mean this game is very much pay to play with the way potions work. Why is there no mechanic to craft potions just buy them? Very much a money grab in my opinion

Fun and addictive game but micro transactions are way too expensive. I went through $100 easily in less than a month, which is far more than I need for other mobile games. Health is the currency of this game, in order to learn patterns you have to memorize the animation and gain muscle memory. You're bound to make mistakes while learning and that will cost you health and therefore money. Even when you've relatively adept at hunting, there are other factors that make you mess up like lag.

Monster Hunter is an awesome franchise that defined new vistas of gaming. Niantic though has misunderstood the charms of the genre. You'd want to build up an arsenal of weapons to deal with harder challenges, some monsters are easier with certain weapons, some weapon types have better elements and statuses than others. But no matter what you decide all the weapons take ton of the same materials. So essentially defeating the normal progression of the game. Can improve.

I legit love this game, but the app is pretty broken right now. When attempting to dodge the game constantly registers a hit or will sometimes act like your charging an attack when your finger isn't even on the screen. Re-installing doesn't help either. Either the game is broken and needs to be fixed or they're doing this intentionally to bait potions/spend real money. Either way, the game needs to be fixed.
