This is an AMAZING app for doom. Yes you do need the doom iwads if you want to play the originals, but who cares? They're not hard to find If you need. The creator keeps it up to date, constantly. It has great controller support, and if you connect a mouse and keyboard, it feels perfect. Would give 10 stars if could. Absolutely worth the three dollars!

I think this is a great option to play Doom on Android. I have one issue: you need to update the FreeDoom downloads. It was found out that some textures used assets from another game, I believe Hexen, and the latest version of FreeDoom has replaced them. Edit: still need to replace the downloads, and Doom 64's option to turn off vertical look doesn't work.

It's literally worth the money for updates and stability, and this is coming from someone who loves to tinker with software. You will never have a better experience on your phone even with the best emulators, because this one simply hands down is the best suite of them. You are not just paying for convenience in a wrapper, you are doing a one time purchase for all of your mobile devices to be able to play Doom. You are welcome.

On my current phone it has a problem that prevents me from switching tabs and re-entering the paused game. Maybe thats just a problem with the phone but otherwise there are so many wads and mods that Delta works with. The process of adding them isn't that complex but i could see why it would be to someone who hasnt messed with them on PC. Delta's tutorial and utility is pretty handy though and ive had a lot of fun with every mod ive installed and played through.

The definitive mobile doom experience. Gzdoom, chocolate doom, prboom+, etc. are all great ports and were likewise ported to android very well. The onscreen controls are extremely customizable and mod-friendly with a few unassigned buttons you can rebind to your will. Quick note: If you want to play strife, just copy strife1.wad and voices.wad into the regular wad area and run strife1.wad, nothing will go wrong or anything, just don't try and run voices.wad.

Currently the most-polished app for playing Doom on Android devices. I was a previous user of D-Touch, an older version of this app, but this version is newer and updated. It has a very good touch controls scheme that's easy to use, and if you don't want to use touch controls, controller support is excellent with universal mapping across all four source ports. This app includes four source ports, including the current (as of this writing) version of Chocolate Doom and a recent build of GZDoom for use with most mods. What's awesome is that I can playback Doom demos on the go while using only a fraction of my mobile data; instead of streaming video, I can watch Doom demos played natively through a Doom source port. Also, multiplayer in Chocolate Doom works great. Compatibility and performance is great. Although I would recommend a port of the Eternity Engine source port over Doom Retro; not that Doom Retro is a bad source port, but the Eternity Engine would be great to have on Android for its features and demo compatibility. Also, compatibility with Android 3.1 Honeycomb would be good, since the old version of this app was compatible. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this app.

It's a very nice app for doom on mobile. The only problems i had were with doom 3 and i was just being a doofus, it works fine now. Definitely worth the price and i like it a lot! Also a tip: from what i know on dhewm3 you can't edit the config file so just use the console (press the "~" button and you gotta turn on touch controls first, just look up the command you need, they're in DoomConfig.cfg) I would like to see a gamepad button map for the console though if that's possible.

After a few days of trial and error (I have little to no computer skills) I was able to play all doom related games and even brutal doom 64! Awesome product! The best part other than catching up on decades of missed Doom experiences, is that I didn't need a PC to accomplish any of this. Using my Samsung Note 9, I was able to get any mod available online. I can't stress enough how inept I am with a computer, so to those struggling, don't give up but maybe consider upgrading your device. Thanks
