Very fun and addictive and useful for learning Hong Kong style. Only problems are occasional glitches, such as randomly (but briefly) showing an opponent's hand, giving the option to declare a hidden kong when it's not your turn (such as when you can call a chow or pong), and not showing scores remotely accurate to the real scores whenever there's a draw. Despite the glitches I spend a lot of time playing this game. The settings, explanations, and help it gives are also extremely helpful.

Fun. exactly how we play in "real life." only thing i would say, is if it was possible to move the tiles around once it was automatically dealt. sometimes a bit hard (for me, at least) to picture how i want it rearranged in my head. In "real life" you can move tiles around to try different combos before discarding a tile (instead of eyeballing in your head, if that makes sense). other then that, its the real deal, one i've been looking for instead of the ridiculous matching tile mahjong games.

(5 year review) Its fast, meaning the CPU is not bogged down. The only issues are Kongs on the last tile, and it doesn't recognize terminal hands despite them being defined in special hands since 5 years of use. I just noticed the 3D version 2 years since initial release. You should at least send a push update to notify users. Since I only just got unlimited Data I wouldn't have played,( but would have got it a lot earlier!!!!) Also via FB and any other utilized communicade

So, I'm spending a lot of time playing this, and it's fun. I like the instructions, because all the hands are laid out nicely in an easy-to-follow way. The graphics suck. When it asks you which chi/chow you want to add a tile to, it's pretty much a tossup which button is depressed unless you're used to seeing it. The 2 star, though, is because the game glitches. I have a screenshot of it. It changes the tiles in your hand sometimes for no reason. I had a liang tong pair in my hand and a san wan Kong on the table. And it changed one of my liang tong tiles to a san wan. So I'm literally sitting through the game staring at 5 of the same tile. Then when my winning title appeared on the table, it wouldn't let me claim it because it didnt register the tiles in my hand correctly.

Game looks good but is flawed. Played several hands today - in two, the game did not detect my win. In another, it displayed 5 red dragons and 5 nine dots!? I uninstall it - I don't trust it. Update: Developer may be right about level - if that was the case the game should have said that as other mahjong games do - but I saw the extra tiles that I mentioned and that's a deal breaker for me. I saw in a previous review that another player had the same concern about too many tiles.

Too much effort spent on useless graphics such as a "virtual" mahjong table and chairs, etc. Also, in an actual game the discarded tiles are never arranged neatly in front of each player, making it too easy to guess that player's overall strategy! Randomly placed (discarded) tiles will increase the degree of difficulty for defensive games (to prevent the holder of strong hands from winning). The artificial intelligence of this game needs to be upgraded to a much higher level.

Have to uninstall this game today after playing for about 3 years. When tapped Continue, it did not continue. Instead it just kept on giving out points. Unintalled and reinstalled, same issue. Give it up and will find something better. Like others said, way too many ads in between each round. Only way to avoid it is to play it on airplane mode.

Well done game generally with minimal intrusive ads, however there is a bug where it won't give you the choice to chow or pong when you have a triple and want to keep one as a sequence and pong the remaining three which is frustrating as that can impact win-lose. Will be great if you can fix this in the next update!
