It's Monkey Ball on your phone with gyro controls. Pretty good for what it is. I paid to not have ads. The main game is played in sets of 10 levels, level 5 is always a bonus, and progress is saved at the end of the set. So it's not for super short sessions. Players can then start at level 10, or 20, or 30, or so on as long as previous levels have been cleared. Physics behave fine in the main game, but unexpectedly in the minigames whenever the ball rolls to a stop.

It's absolutely infuriating that the tilt of the game is based on some fixed point and not what your phone position is at the start of the level. Incredibly weird and frustrating. Other than that major issue it lives up to the classic games, albeit with lower graphics.

Tilt the screen to control your monkey ball. Controls are not nearly as good as on the GameCube, but the game is still playable once you adjust. Luckily, they made the stages easier than the earlier versions to accommodate the control scheme. You get extra stages and charming visuals and music. Some stages will challenge you pretty well, but the controls make getting perfects too aggravating. If you already played this series on the GameCube or can't get a GameCube, this is a good time.

Good game, bad ads. The monkey ball gameplay works very well with tilt of the cellphone, requiring very tricky hand control and maneuvers. The only bad things are how loud the ads can get. Even if you lower the sound, they still play the same. If you mute the ad, still the same. Imagine if someone plays this game in a public place or at night and every now and then the sound blasts really high in an unskippable ad.

Could be a pretty good game! Though it's a bit rough around the edges. Monkey Ball with tilt controls is a great idea! But there's no way to recenter them or calibrate. The music has a really noticable loop that feels messy, some graphics are stretched on wide screens, and some level geometry lacks collision. Despite this, I had some fun with this game, but gosh, it's really a tease to see Monkey Ball get treated this way—this doesn't need to be 3 stars; it could be so much better with so little

Lots of fun to be had here too! I think for a mobile phone, the visuals are pretty good! The multiple modes offer a lot of content to keep you coming back, and the characters are fun to use and see how they react! The biggest downside to me though is that it forces you to use tilt controls, which includes tilting your phone forwards or backwards to roll forward or backward or stop, if there was an option to use a digital analog stuck I would probably play this a lot more. Hopefully that's fixed!

It feels like a half-baked copy of the original, especially when you pay attention to the assets and models. Overall, they're fine, but then there's little things like a misaligned text box, or an image that was stretched to fit the screen, instead of properly resizing it to maintain it's proportions. It's things like these, coupled with wonky controls (which one would assume are ideal for a game like this, and somehow Sega managed to screw them up), that make it frustrating instead of fun.

Boy am I glad airplane mode exists, or else this game would be a nightmare to play. If you have access to the internet, ads will pop up after beating a level and every couple of deaths and in every layer of the menu, after pausing, and recently they made it so you have to have a conn to the internet so sega can get that sweet sweet revenue. It's a nightmare with all the ads. I find controls ok, and level design is mediocre at best. Buy the full version though, and it's a blast.
