removing instant payments and only allowing a few transfers is scummy considering you could do them all the time before but now you need to pay to be payed whenever you like? (premium) this is a terrible change. You will probably reply telling me that the purpose of this app is to share steps with friends which isn't true because before the change your premise was literally to gain money from walking. And despite giving less money it seems you've increased the number of ads.

Update 07/02: quick answer to my message from Weward and the offered solution worked (changing the reference podometer to Google fit). It's a great app when it works. Unfortunately since a few days ago, I have to open the app first before I walk. Otherwise the steps are not saved on the app. I only see the number of steps that were counted, but then the bar goes down and starts counting from zero. Veeeeery annoying, I lost more than 10 000 steps like this

Where to begin. The podometer doesn't work correctly (counts less steps than are actually taken), ads never work for free wards, even after 1000 steps have been taken and more often than not, validating steps at the end of the day doesn't work so you lose steps taken near the end of the day, or all of them if you don't have the habit of validating throughout the day. The app was ok before the most recent update but now it's barely worth it tbf.

I don't know how I feel about that latest update. The levels system is presented as an exciting new feature, while to me it looks like a sneaky way of having you earn fewer and fewer Wards for the same amount of steps taken if you happen to walk a lot. I guess that it's becoming increasingly hard to manage resources so updates like those are necessary to keep this app alive. But I just find it rather dishonest. You could simply have increased the number of Wards required to earn gifts.

Pretty cool little app, the rewards aren't great for walking though, if I'm honest. It would take almost 3 months, (Walking over 10,000 EVERY day) to earn enough for a $15 gift card. But there are other ways to earn points in the app, they just don't count towards the walking points?? That's a little confusing to me. Either way, I find myself walking more just to see what I get step-wise, each day.

It's taken me months to get to a point where I can get a payout. There are games and surveys to earn more points, but other similar apps have better rewards. Now I've finally got to a point where I can claim something the only option is a bank transfer. Until recently there were gift cards for Amazon and people like that. Seems a little dodgy to me. Customer service is also a pain to get in touch with

It's disappointing that for the sake of increasing user engagement with the app, they have completely cannibalized the user experience. Tons of things to load that only greatly slow down the app, too many screens that pop up to say absolutely nothing of interest. People want to count their steps, they want to have passive competitions with their friends, and love the idea of earning rewards for walking (aka using the app). Give options, don't force them.

While it is nice to gamify your walking, there are a couple things which might help. First, the app could Auto convert your steps, as if you forget, you lose everything. Second, if you keep your streak going, you could increase the number of rewards that you get. As it is now, it will take an insane amount of time to save up enough points to get anything useful, and forget about saving points if you have to use your points to re-establish your streak. It's fun! But you won't get rich. 🤷♂️
