Radar and whatnot is decent. Like the map etc, but my severe weather notifications NEVER work anymore and I haven't changed any settings, have even gone in app settings and within the app itself and on my phone all notification permissions are on and I'm never notified of severe weather like I was when I first downloaded the app, and that's why I downloaded it in the first place. Totally disappointed.

This app became a hard pass for me. Video ads have started auto playing when opening/closing the hourly forecast and the map. I learned this the hard way when in a quiet office environment. Audio from the ad was blasting full volume. This is very unfortunate for what used to be my go to weather app.

The layout of the weather information is nice, and the radar is especially well designed. The ads would make the app unusable, but Block-This solves that problem. Unfortunately, the widgets are unusable. They usually fail to display anything, claiming to be offline. They are also very basic, and visually boring and simple.

I use the moving map whenever I am near or potentially going near rain or other bad weather. Amazingly precise and accurate. This is a "required app" when doing a road trip where bad weather is possible. On trips between Chicago and southern Florida we have been able to adjust our routes and timing to avoid serious storms.

I use to not have any complaints about this app, but now every time I try to change the location it freezes. Sometimes I'll be checking on a nearby town and then change it back to follow my location and it just gets stuck on loading. I have to close and re-open the app 3 or 4 times just to get the location to update. It never use to be like this. Fix it or I'm going back to the weather channel app!

The app has gotten better over the past couple of years. It is still not 5 star but I don't think any app is "the best". I am a SKYWARN Weather Spotter and rely more on the map than anything else on the app. Information like temp, wind and barometric pressure are going to different from your exact location and the technology isn't here to have the app as a personal weather station. All in all, kudos for fixing the freezing issue I had a couple of years ago and got making the map better.

The hourly reading, the daily reading and weekly reading never jive. Just about every day the temp is either higher or lower than what is forecasted. The only reason I gave a one star rating, the radar is always helpful when we have bad storms and need to know when to take shelter. I love channel 18 news and weather, have enjoyed for years, but their weather app, well to be honest it sucks!!

I love this app. I wish it had a pro version without ads, but to its credit they're not annoying. I'd also like to be able to choose which view it opens to, for example, I'd rather the app open to the weekly view rather than right now. But its a great app. 🙂
