Very glitchy app. Doesn't load all notifications. I have friends using it as well and we like to look at each others to encourage ourselves . However, when we make comments they don't show up in notifications.. and sometimes I could see in the update that my friends uploaded a picture a few hrs ago but when going to their account it shows update only 5 days ago....this app needs an update.

Great app, I use it everyday. Feature wise though, it's far behind the ios version. It doesn't have available actions for the Routines app, and the share feature that resumes the day is an old version that was long sunset in iOS.

UPDATED: NOW EVEN WORSE. Tech support is useless. They blame your phone or say "idk why you're having issues." Will ask my dietician to switch to another app, as this one is becoming less functional by the day. Buggy, even after software updates

So far so good but I am used to nibbling while I cook...waiting to assemble the meal and photograph it seems harsh. I understand the concept but don't like change much. Laurel

3.5 stars: I've been looking for an app like this for a while because logging exactly is too tedious for long-term and I can tell generally by looking at a day if the calories/foods are within target. What I don't like is it is obviously built for iOS and is a bit buggy for Android. For instance, I have given the app camera permission but it thinks the camera doesn't have permissions (I checked in the app data). This makes the option to log a meal using the camera not possible). :(

Been using the Ate app for 6 weeks. It really helped me to start eating mindfully. It also records water intake, exercise, goal, etc. I'm doing way less snacking now. I wanted something quick & easy to adapt to my life longterm, without the minutiae of counting calories. Ate delivers a quick overview, just what I need to keep me on track to wellness.

I've been using this app for a few years now and the process of documenting with pictures has helped me with my over eating issues. I especially like being able to export my weekly progress and the feature to connect with others on the app. I'm using the paid version now as the free option wasn't appealing anymore.
