Installing wifi is truly a pain. I had this system for about 4 years.. it works when it is connected.. but expect at least 3 to 6 hours to get it to connect to yor router. It asks to get to ZMD_SAP and it is not in the list of wifi.... I tried to enter manually... wow.. it is not fun...If you switch provuders.. again back to the beginning. Also works only with 2.4 GHz network only. I did contact the customer support once it was helpful but not other times... I may have to throw away 9 cameras!

after reading all the reviews I was a little apprehensive to say the least about upgrading, However after a little frustration and patience I figured it out and let me add it's not all that complicated. The cloud storage is free for 30 days trial. works fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Zmodo! Update 02/2025 I must say that it has been an enjoyable experience, I purchased 4 more after 2 years they all needed replacing. They should just send replacement but NO.

update 2/26/2025 changed from 1 star to 3 For once, an update actually fixed issues and made the app function better. Would give more stars but it took many years for a good update. Previous review from 2019: Ive had nothing but trouble with this app. It never functions correctly, each update will fix one thing but break another. Sometimes the updates fix nothing, just breaks some additional feature. Currently I can't view my events, making this app entirely useless.

I had 6 cameras installed back in 2017. I never had an issue with connection, unable to load or viewing video. Live or playback. All of sudden in October 2024, I now have issues. It won't connect, query failed when trying to view in playback. For example, if you're trying to figure out what happened an hour ago. I have reached out to support through the app. They are absolutely no help in their messaging back. I am thoroughly disappointed in this product.

Message Error

Don't get this. I looked back, I paid 150.00 for 2 devices the first month, then the next month the system tried to charge me again. 89.00 for the trial. Not at all worth it. Nearly 400.00 the first 3 months. And those were monthly subscriptions. They do not issue refunds, or credits. The picture isn't clear, and not all products, features, abilities are available. Schedule is minimal options. No way to detect people unless paying more money. Long delay in real time.

Update, decreasing rating by 2 stars until this is fixed... Totally Awesome! This security system has paid for itself exponentially. The one thing I really hate is the herky jerky video on play back. Give us the full stream the smart or intelligent speeding up is no good when you need the footage for legal issues. Come on guys how do I get the full smooth version... I don't care how big the file size is.. let us choose our preferences...

The times are all wrong on the app, and when I look at Recordings and select a time it'll skip to some other time. Setting the time to your time zone doesn't fix the problem, Also the main issue is looking at recordings, example: if I want to see the recording of 12pm yesterday when I select that time, it goes to 7am instead

Cameras take forever to load, or they disconnect. I can't rely on these cameras. The zmoto service has declined significantly. I've had cameras for several years. They used to work great, and now the app and camera viewing are 90% unreliable and not available to veiw. No sofware camera reset either. Very disappointing.
