This is an ever-evolving great piece of software. However, I am using it with a VR-N76 - there is a missing feature. Entering frequency into VFO. Even the radio has an odd way to enter VFO mode (by holding a key down). But there is no equivalent function in this app. I would suggest putting it in where you click at the bottom where the frequency is displayed (below the 3 toggle switches) to have a dialog pop up prompting for VFO frequency...

I like the simplicity and the many options. However, I am having trouble importing a CSV file into the channel groups manager. The error says ' TX_freq column not present' Does that mean I have to modify the csv file I made in CHIRP?

Why does this app paste text from your clipboard in the background (not visible) when you open it? Android OS tells me "this app pasted from your clipboard" in a popup, which seems very shady. Can the developer please explain? Seems like a way to steal info from the clipboard, which could be sensitive. (Works fine as a radio app, but this behavior is very concerning!) EDIT: After developer's reply, I'm still concerned and the user should be able to trigger this with a button, not automatic paste

It does work okay 65-70% of the time - very buggy and force closes are frequent. Total and complete lockup of the app is a given. 1) there are many memory Leaks on Android which explains the freezing up. The other issue is the internet connection and routing - even if you are in the USA and set your Gateway to USA ONLY, it appears packets are routed thru a china Theres no real explanation for this, someone either setup the app to send all data thru China to peek at it

Could be better. Love the capabilities of the radio but the app could use a some work. There's a newer version that's not on this store that fixes some bugs but also introduces others. One issue I had with this version was not being able to silence incoming APRS. There's a slider to do so but it won't stick. That sort of explains the overall QC on the app. Could be great but needs some fixes.

The hardware is amazing and the functionality does all seem to be there, however the app is quite terrible. It appears there was no UI design, just features be wedged in to the standard android app template in seemingly random places. As an example, why is scan mode buried under device settings? That makes no sense. The scan button on the frequency/channel screen does not appear to do anything... no scanning frequencies or channels? Is it scanning for CTS/DCS There is a switch for "Talk Around" another element that seems to have no purpose. By far the least intuitive UI I have ever used. It makes me want to abandon this device. Please improve it, or at least publish the APIs and protocols so someone else can make a better app. This device will never get used to its full potential without an intuitive UI. With a good UI, it could be a game changer, the hardware is great, the features in the app are game changers, but the execution is just terrible. Also the marketing material led me to believe it would work with android auto. It does not. Only give it two stars because I like the device so much.

Came here for APRS with the new radioddity radio, but it only supports APRS beaconing and iGates. APRS is mostly about messaging. This does not allow you to send and receive aprs messages, when you send a message it sends it in its proprietary "bbs" mode. I really hope they add that in the future so it can actually boast full APRS support. The hardware functionality is there! Also, APRS settings are in a few different places, ID signaling, and APRS settings have most of them. One place plz!

Excellent. Live control of the radio. Everything you can do with the radio you can do with the app. Every radio should have an app this great. My only complaint is that it doesn't have dark mode. At night it's blinding and a dark mode would be really useful.
