Incredibly clumsy to navigate videos. It seems impossible to cancel subscription. Must login to website (can't use app) go to "account" then it goes to another login that won't accept password. The only help they give is to cancel through Google. Content varies from good to god awful. Many titles are just history buffs sitting around discussing things, and often they're far off base it's as if they're making it all up. Sub par for even YouTube.

Nice short documentaries with room for improvement. + some videos with CC + Great varied content - no "like" function. So we cannot search for "popular" videos and cannot see what you liked or not - Even though the material presented is nice and usually the presenter travels to to place where the event took place, I feel the videos could be better made with the help of a graph/animation. This is missing in my opinion, compared to some videos in YouTube with great animation.

Love this app and it's content. Having been at school in the 70's history was boring and seemed irrelevant. If this type of content and presentation was available back then I would have gone on to Uni to pursue a career in history or archaeology. Timing is everything but I'm making up for it now with this fantastic channel. 😃

The content is amazing, great documentaries and shows! But the app and the android TV app are abysmal. Constantly freezing, janky UI and UX, glitches and more. Accidentally pressed back after pausing? The program starts from the beginning. Just fast forward to where you were? It freezes up for 2-3 mins. Once these issues are fixed, it will be amazing.

I tried this for a year but found that there was more interesting stuff (for free) on their YouTube channel. Also some of the programs that are on the app subscription service are now also available on YouTube. This was one of the main reasons why I cancelled my subscription. However, if they concentrate more on the app than YouTube I will gladly consider renewing my subscription.

We are using the videos as part of our homeschool curriculum. My kids pick out what they want to learn about, watch videos, and we discuss them. They have learned more with these videos than when they read. It gives them references and images, and it's so much more engaging than a textbook.

I love HH! I have one problem with it. Some videos I have not watched (not all) have the white bar at the bottom as if I watched it. It's so annoying. It doesn't happen with all videos. I know which ones I've watched but some are similar in content which makes it difficult. I have to watch a bit to know if I've seen it. If I have, I remove it from my library. It would be really nice if it only had the white bar at the bottom of the thumbnail if I've watched it and I didn't have to guess.

History Hit has much to choose from, from every era. I can always find something to watch or listen to no matter what mood I find myself in, ancient or modern. I do wonder if I am missing something when searching, I don't find the hundreds of videos that advertising led me to believe were available. That said, the historians and presenters have all been worth my time and attention.
