Worked fine until I upgraded my phone to Android 12. Tech support says they are working to make a fix but nothing yet. I fly my drone daily by only using the transmitter which is not ideal since I want to view video and see data that only comes through the GPS app. Hope they get this fixed soon or I will be returning my drone to Amazon. The manual could be written better, conflicting instructions on calibration and no instruction on custom map mode. Update: 11/11/21 the app is now working!

I was having the same problem with maps not loading in the app, but I figured out what the problem was. The app seems to use the download offline maps function in Google maps to retrieve map data, and this function in Google maps is set to work on wifi only by default, so the app is unable to download maps over your mobile connection. To fix this you need to go into the settings in google maps and allow offline maps to be downloaded over mobile as well. 1. Tap the three lines in the top left corner of google maps next to the search field. 2. Scroll all the way down and tap settings. 3. Scroll down and tap offline maps settings 4. Tap download preferences 5. Choose Over Wi-Fi or mobile network 6. Open Potensic-GPS and it should now be able to download maps while connected to the drone. I hope this works for all of you having problems as well. This really should have been mentioned in the manual, but at least it works now. Good luck!

App is great when it works. I use it on both a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a Samsung Galaxy S7 and on both phones the app constantly crashes. Sometimes even before I get the drone up. Wifi range on my D58 is really poor. I lose signal at about 50 feet away even on both of my phones. Plan to buy a wifi range extender to see if that will help. But the app crashes so much I don't know if it's even worth messing with.

Works as described, and for the price point of the drone, that's not bad. Would give it 5 stars however I see no way to enter waypoints on map, the button to add waypoints is missing. All other functions work great. Even Follow me mode, for a 100 dollar drone works well. Please tell me how to get waypoint button to show and I can easily change to 5 star review.

Great app. Makes the D50 even more fun. I couldn't get maps to show in the app even having them downloaded in offline. The fix for this (at least on my Galaxy S9) was to install Google Earth. For some reason doing that and checking my area allowed the app to use maps. Now it works perfect.

The drone is excellent but the instructions (translations from Chinese) can be hard to follow. Note that their "5G" refers to 5ghz wifi (wifi5/802.11ac) to connect to the drone; *NOT* 5G cellphone data service. Flying is easy: I watched several youtube videos before i started to get the gist and supplement the fuzzy parts of the owners manual, and had no trouble getting the drone in the air and under control. I'm not very good yet, but the drone is well built and seems pretty study.

Latest update has disabled the custom max height of flying. I can no longer change it from 50m. Also, I cannot fly above 160m. Prior to the app update, I could change the Mac height to 250m and fly as high as my range would allow (500m and above). Please fix this.

Bought my first drone from Potensic, I absolutely loved it; after the most recent update I could no longer use the app due to it no longer working on my phone. I emailed the company and they basically told me to get a new phone to fix the issue. Luckily I was able to have my money refunded through Amazon and I purchased a different companys drone with an app that actually works.
