Mobilní aplikace SDDOT 511 poskytuje v reálném čase přístup k informacím o cestujících, které poskytuje Ministerstvo dopravy Jižní Dakoty (SDDOT). Mapy zobrazují aktuální stav vozovky a nejnovější informace o incidentech, výstavbě a omezeních na všech mezistátních, amerických a státních trasách. Předpokládané hrozby stavu silnic na nadcházejících 24 hodin jsou popsány ve zprávách o segmentech silnic a tam, kde takové hrozby existují, lze zobrazit na mapě. Mapy také označují umístění silničních kamer a umožňují uživateli prohlížet snímky z kamer. Když se uživatel pohybuje po dálniční síti, aplikace sleduje polohu uživatele na mapě. SDDOT také udržuje zdroj Twitteru přístupný prostřednictvím hlavní nabídky mobilní aplikace 511. Used to update road conditions constantly. Now, the last time they update is typically 4pm. Guess what! Some people work nights! How the hell do 12 hours old road conditions help when the temperature dropped 20 degrees since then, and there's obviously ice on the road. It's not like DOT aren't driving throughout the night. And let's not forget that the conditions are accurate, maybe half the time. Tldr; you're better off looking out the window than opening the app.

It would be really helpful and reduce user stress while using the app if you could add a key to the maps section so we know what the different highlighted routes mean at a glance. I know you can click and read each individually but if you just want to quick overview. Very frustrating; however, useful and reliable so thank you for that!

Way too much clutter! Way too many road condition indications! 4, 5, or MAYBE 6 is plenty. Also when I turn off certain features and sensors, like temperature, cameras, or road construction, they turn back on by themselves when I toggle in and out of the menus or map legend, which brings back clutter I'm trying to get rid of! Very FRUSTRATING!

They finally updated the user interface! The app works much better now, but my main two complaints are still valid. 1) The map has too many color combinations. It would be easy enough to have 4 colors (normal, fair, poor, and no travel advised) and have more detailed descriptions instead of dozens of color combinations. 2) The conditions aren't updated frequently enough. My place of work closed one day because of weather, but the roads were listed as normal.

Needs some serious work. The SD map is complicated and full of too much information that it's frustrating. Tell me if the roads open/closed. What the road conditions are, maybe camera views. Have a interstate vs hwy option. I love the Wyoming511 app due to its simplicity. If we want more info, there's a completely different section. And their hands free option is amazing. Take note and do better.

The location function stopped working awhile back, so I decided to uninstall and the re-install the app. Now, it crashes evertime I try to launch it. Great time for this to be happening in the middle of below freezing temps and blizzards. FIX YOUR APP!!! Update: The crashing stopped after about a month, however now it doesn't even show the location at all. Yet there's still a location button in the upper left corner of the map. So either remove the button or fix the location function.

Was helping when it worked constantly. Now it continuely freezes and shut down. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. With out any resolution. Uninstalled from this device. Next step is a check router. Try it on another device. Maybe the problem is with this device? App is Garbage. Waste of time.

The app keeps freezing when I open it, and then it's crashing every time I open the app. It shows no road conditions on the map. I have to force stop to make the app reset and work. The road conditions and cameras are accurate when I do get the app to work.
