This app is super glitchy. I can't open the camera view unless I exit out of the app and restart it. Also doesn't give the preview in real time. And it's not an internet issue, my other camera app works just fine. Update 12/2024 This app and camera are the worst. They NEVER give a notification for anything, even if the camera is tracking something. It also only tracks the movement half the time. Just get the Ring. The amount of money I "saved" on these wasn't worth it.

Do not bother. The camera malfunctions daily. It doesn't record at all to any SD card as it gets too hot, and customer service is ill equipped to deal with any technical issues. This was a huge waste of money, and it serves as nothing more than a remote-controlled window. The price for the service is absolutely ridiculous, considering the poor quality of the hardware inhibits its use. Total fail.

I've had this for many months after the change with seperating from Geeni and it is just not working. The app is not user friendly, the smart outlet disconnects all the time (and it's connected to my lizard's lights, so this is IMPORTANT). I'm finally getting rid of the thing and getting a Geeni brand outlet to get away from this horrible app and product.

I could write a book about all i hate about this app. I got more merkury cameras expecting to add them to my existing collection in the geeni app. I was disappointed to find that I need to download another app. But it gets worse that the merkury smart app doesn't seem to work. It won't recognize memory cards. I can't find any of the controls I'm familiar with, such as continuous recording. Zoom on live feed only has 2 settings. I emailed support for a useless response,implying they didn't read.

I have issues Every. Single. Day. With this lightbulb and app. I've had to reset/re-pair/re-find the bulb repeatedly in the few weeks I've owned it. The app sucks, and constantly disconnects from the bulb, either pretending it's working, or error message on a loop. My husband had to be in the dark for a week because he couldn't get the app to work and I was out of town. I shouldn't even have to have a separate app when I have a smart phone with an assistant. Ridiculous.

I just got a lightbulb for my room and it works super great :3 It would be nice if the colors changed less choppy and if you'd be able to see the transition when dragging your finger across the color wheel to find the perfect color and brightness though. Another feature I'd love is being able to create your own animated scenes with different colors and speeds. But besides those, it's perfect Edit: it keeps unpairing for no reason and it's super annoying

The app and cameras work ok. I'm giving it 2 stars because I used to own about 5 of their previous iteration of cameras and loved the old app for them. The new app is horrendous. Words are cut short on every single page. It's very very glitchy and hard to get it to operate smoothly. I constantly have to reset it. I can't set it to record to an SD card 24 7 anymore. It takes a picture every hour for no reason and is not set to do so. It's just all around janky and cheap feeling. Had it 👍 before

Every critical review echos my experience. App doesn't open in live view, required tap on screen to activate. No SD card recognition. Refuses to work with large capacity SD card inserted Won't use the Geenie app. Goes offline and reconnects randomly. Poor audio. Very slow notifications if any. Support asking for information that you include in the initial ticket.
