Overall a great experience and does what is necessary for this to be regularly useful for me. One thing I would love to see is a Chromecast control built in so I can listen to tracks on my speaker system rather than only on my phone or computer. Also it seems like the registration of an active playback with the OS is not done correctly. The widget controls do not seem to work (play/pause/skip, etc.). Would also love to be able to control via an official android auto interface.

This is a review of the phone app, not of the library which is absolutely fantastic. The app does not work correctly. It will not advance to the next track when the lockscreen turns on, which is essentially all the time. So it stops playing every 2nd or 3rd track. It also sometimes stops in the middle of tracks for me. Finally, less critically, it lacks a "currently playing" playlist which means one needs to create a new playlist to play say two albums one after another.

Mine hasn't actually crashed. But it does stop (most of the time) after each track. It's a shame that Naxos doesn't care about fixing this fault. :EDIT: I have discovered that the fault can be worked around by disabling the lock screen (with the Screen Alive app). So I have upgraded my rating to two stars.

The app keeps crashing. When logging back in you get a message about too many logins being active preventing you from getting back in. It often stops playing at the end of the current track meaning you have to open the app again. If when searching for the next track you go 'back up' too far, the track currently playing stops. The search facility is very basic and does not allow searching by composer, genre and period as the desktop version does. Needs a lot of work.

crashes and freezes a lot. literally cant even figure out how to play an album or song that I want. sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. no way to tell what is in queue. very disappointing. i had high hopes of using this in my teaching studio and for personal use, but i dont think that is going to happen.

Looks like it could be really useful if it actually worked! This pathetic app crashed every single time I tried to use it. I never got to hear a single note of music. Don't waste your time. update: i got the latest version with my new samsung phone and it now works sometimes but is still very slow and unreliable. It works intermittently about half the time. rest of the time it doesn't work at all.

The library of music available on this app is immense and the playlist system is excellent for helping me to keep track of my favorite pieces. The UI is beautiful and (mostly) easy to navigate. Sure, we'd all like to see better support for things like typo correction, but honestly that is not important in light of some more serious issues. Namely, the app is quite unstable. Most recently, the problem is that the app will not proceed to the next track in an album if my phone is asleep. If I don't remember to wake up my phone, the app will freeze and I will need to play a different track entirely in order to use it again. Other issues include the fact that the music doesn't automatically pause when I disconnect my headphones, which can lead to a brief moment of blaring music in a public space if I forget to hit the pause button myself before putting my headphones away. Infrequently, but often enough to be really annoying, the pause button spontaneously "unpauses" itself, leading to music blaring at an inopportune moment. There's a lot of potential with this app, but Naxos really needs to hire better software developers in order to remove the bugs that keep it from getting there.

The app is beautiful when it works - crashes regularly. I get a couple of tracks to play and after completion of the first or second track, it stops. You cannot get it to play from the page without having to go out of the app entirely and re-starting it. It's very nerve wracking to keep doing this, especially when the listening experience starts out great. Please fix this. Other than this disappointment, I love it. - from my Samsung Galaxy S7 s11
