Melway/Ausway produce the best printed street directories in Australia. Previous versions of the Aus Map app were consequently the best navigation tools for travelling in Australia by combining GPS with the Ausway maps so you could navigate Google Maps style but on Ausway maps. Brilliant. Five stars. ☆☆☆☆☆ But this app no longer uses GPS and is practically useless. It is easier to use the printed street directory. So you end up using Google Maps. Which is adequate but nowhere near as readable, useful or easy to use as the old Aus Map app and every time I use Google Maps and am frustrated by its inadequacies I am reminded of just how good the old Aus Map app was. As for the new "app"... One star. ☆

Greatest map, worst app. Latest android update on S22 renders this unusable now. Please update this app, Melways is the most accurate map of Melbourne and deserves a presence on our phones....EDIT: June 2023 app update means it works again, with updated maps too. ....1 month after the update, this is again my go-to map... big thanks to the developers for fixing the app!

Slow plotting route, slow drawing map to screen, straightlines directions in zigzags instead of following actually following streets. Don't waste your time downloading it.. it would be quicker to just look up an old Melways or Sydways street directory. Such a shame the app isn't as good, those were the best street directories you could get back in the day.

Don't bother installing. This app has not been upgraded in over TEN years. The developer obviously no longer supports it, and it should be removed from the App Store. Does not work on Samsung Z Flip 4 and probably any other new model phone either. A real pity. I rate it zero stars.

Best quality street maps of Melbourne (Melway) and Sydney (Sydway) from Ausway. Beautiful design. And portable. And free! Also OK for rural roads - if you have reception. User interface has rather limited functionality, though.

These Melway maps of Australian cities show much more detail than Google Maps and UBD combined. Great to have as a GPS. Improvement: Please remove the constant "Internet not connected" pop up!

Even though it's not guide you like GPS this app help me a lot on a daily basis when I'm looking for a new address (New States).

It reminds me so much of Melways. : ) . Melways doesn't have an app for Android : ( . "Find directions" doesn't work.
