The radar is great. I like seeing the video updates and hourly weather. What I don't like is how many notifications I get. When a notification is dismissed the same exact one will pop up, sometimes immediately. Often the same few notifications will pop up multiple times in a day. I didn't want to turn notifications off because it's a reliable weather app, but it gets too be too much.

Everything is good, but years ago the meteorologists, ie Dale Munson, used to give the air pressure and whether it was rising or falling. It was very helpful to know that when the barometric pressure was dropping. Based on my education, a front, possible precipitation and even a storm was coming. I would suggest that you provide that information again to be better than your competitor stations. Plus, a button (option) to turn off Rusty when I go to bed at night, so it doesn't wake me up with, "T

10 June 2024 The Radar is better organized, more responsive, and easier to use than other weather apps. Though, I do wish it provided a longer history, and a longer projection time. 17 Mar 2022 Omaha Channel 6 Weather App provides current, hourly, and ten day forecasts that are quick and easy to access. . Other channels' apps are slow, poorly organized, or mess up your phone. . 6 Weather is the superior choice.

This app WAS great. Recently, it has become flooded with full screen, misleading ads, such as ads designed to look like severe weather notifications that trick you into clicking. These malicious, possibly dangerous full screen ads pop up over everything. Check radar. Ad. Go back to the daily. Ad. Hourly. Ad. Also, the station weather alerts are multiple times per day for no reason. "A new station alert" to tell me it's sunny outside. This has all made the app unusable, which is a shame.

ALWAYS inaccurate & inconsistent STOP SPAMMING ME! There is NO reason to pop up a full screen ad when I open the app! Reporting & deleting! News temps are different than app! Completely unreliable! I have to go back to other news app. Theres a weather alert but No details! No warning in advanced like other one gives. Prompted review then wouldn't go back to app. So annoying, negative one star. When stormy the widget takes off the next few days to replace it with radar, Idk what that graph means.

My understanding when I downloaded this app was that it was for weather alerts during bad weather such as tornadoes, snow storms etc. But it seems that recently it's constantly sending alerts for Sunny day, beautiful evening. It's really annoying, to the point that I now just ignore it so I guess that means I have no use for it and it's time to delete.

It's a nice app for weather. However they have recently began to play annoying Hyvee video ads when you click on the weather. Also other annoying audio alerts which I tried to block. Sorry WOWT you ruined it. Will use another app for my weather. Now showing Joe Biden political ads. Uninstalling. Update Nov 2021 virus pop-up fake 'crime alerts' deleting app.

6Dec22 Easy to use. Provides key weather facts and figures. Easy to view other locations. Easy to adjust viewable weather elements. Well designed for users. 7Dec23 None of the other weather apps that I have tried are even close to the 6 News Weather App. . Current, Hourly, Daily, Radar have separate tabs. Other apps jumble everything together. . You can easily select other cities, worldwide. . Radar offers you a selection of weather conditions to monitor.
