Terrible messaging system. Frequently fails to load, and when it does it takes way too long. Edit in March 2025: Messaging continues to be a problem. I couldn't respond to a new request tonight on the App. I logged in through the website and it worked flawlessly.

Messages will not load. No longer receive notifications. I've talked to people online and this has been going on since early 2024. still no fix on the message notification. it's early 2025. this is ridiculous. I have Google Fi so notifications to my mobile service don't work well either.

It's been months since push notifications were working. Get this fixed! I cannot appropriately communicate with my students without checking the app every hour. Horrible!

Sometimes it glitches, and I csn respond to messages. However, once I uninstall and reinstall it works again.

Notifications don't work and haven't for a very long time (maybe over a year?). When I receive an email notification of a new message and open the app to view and respond to it, the app often sits on the message screen forever trying and failing to load my messages. It's frustrating and borderline unusable, making it much more difficult for me to do my job.

Biggest complaint is that notifications no longer work. Also not all account information is visible, such as payment info. Also, cross source notifications are not synchronized. If I send a Wyzant message from one computer, I see a new message indicator on other computers and the app (when opened), even though the only "new message" is the one I sent from another source. Also how long it takes to fix reported problems is really bad. It's been years since I mentioned notifications no longer work.

Useless app. Notifications don't work no matter what I tried to do (only an issue on this app, never had the same issue on any other app) and then the system actively punishes you for missing messages that their app caused you to miss by desuggesting you. You will try to check messages manually until you realize that more than half the time new messages won't show when you open your home page or inbox. Went from 4.9 w/ 20+ reviews to zero messages/month, even after messaging first several times.

It's good overall, but it can be very spotty with loading the content of messages. I have been tutoring on wyzant for a few years at this point and the app has never worked "properly" in regards to messages. It is very frustrating to know I have messages from students but not be able to read or respond to them in a timely fashion without going to a computer and logging in. Update: 2 years later. Now I am getting zero notifications, missing new client contacts, and my account is suffering.
