App disconnects on wifi mesh networks that have both 5Ghz and 2.4mhz. Apparently it will only work on 2.4Mxz networks, but this is old technology and should be able to connect. Been happening for the past 3 years and they still haven't fixed the issue. I really like the pump, but the app is useless if it doesn't stay connected.

Adding a device through app does not work. You go thru the steps, and try to add the sump pump, scan the QR code, then it says to connect to device wifi temporarily, after that it never shows the other home wifi networks at all. The device then shows incorrect status and does not connect to z control cloud. App is terrible. Pump works, but the UI and wifi connection is not working after trying 15-20 times. Fix it please. I am a tech savvy person who has setup routers and other network devices.

Terrible experience trying to set this up. Instructions are incomplete and inconsistent across various Zoeller sources. Was able to set up account on the cloud, but can't get the app to work. The product is poorly developed and not at all user friendly. That includes the control device. Why should one have to disassemble it, removing 4 screws, to replace the batteries?

EDIT: Using the app for setup did not work, but I was able to set it up via laptop without issue. Now that it's been configured, the app works great. Updated review to 4*. Would be very helpful and make customers much happier if you could set it up in the app. Original review: Similar to others, the app crashes before I can add a device. Adds no value despite the extra $$$ I paid

I was worried as I downloaded the app and saw the poor ratings. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the app found the new sump pump! I didn't have to push any kind of sync buttons or anything! I don't normally write reviews, but thought I would in this instance to offer hope to others that might get worried by the negative reviews.

The app works just fine. You need to perform the setup on your laptop. Don't let the one star reviews fool you. Yes, the app will crash when trying to add your devices but once they are setup from your laptop all app functions are 100%. I'm happy I was able to buy American made pumps and accessories. Being a plumber with a history of website design I can understand the need to have initial setup done from an actual computer while app bugs are worked out. Buy Zoeller with confidence.

Constantly Crashes. I specifically bought this feature with my new sump pump. Paid the extra $300 and their app is garbage. Then I see that other people are complaining as well about this app with no one from Zoeller is responding. They obviously do not know how to handle these type of situations. Good pump terrible customer support. Should of went with the other brand I see they do not have app issues.

Seems to work ok but it logs you out of your account in the app periodically (e.g. like every 2 weeks or something) so I have to check if I'm still signed in often. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app which is meant to notify you of emergencies in my opinion.
