Needs a desperate update - Obselete for new phones. Changed WiFi and had to reset through the App and wasn't working. After 24hours of investigating and trying get Alexa to work I found that if you have a far older phone/Android system the App will work, this is why it wasn't working through my latest phone. Trying on any new device it will simply not process or work, I can see people have raised with Marshall but no update has been done since summer '23.

For more than 2 years, your users have been telling you about this app's Alexa connectivity issues, and you have completely ignored them. I have an Alexa enabled Stanmore II with a Galaxy S21 running Android 14. With a lot of trial and error, I have been able to connect this speaker to my WiFi (tested through Spotify selecting speaker through WiFi) using the Voice app and switching to my SSID from within Voice. Yet, Alexa setup goes directly to SOMETHING WENT WRONG. Fix your garbage app already!

Using Samsung Galaxy S10, latest android update. Was able to setup the connection right in December using the same phone. Now, switched network hub and when connecting to wifi I can only choose network from the Stanmore II Alexa speaker which has not internet access. Fails on this step. Help from your support hasn't solved the issue. Same problem as other users. Speaker sound great, app is terrible. Considering returning the speaker bought just 3 months ago.

More updates would be appreciated. If you have connectivity issues try these things in your speaker: first press SOURCE+PLAY buttons for 10s for factory reset; keep SOURCE button pressed while selecting WiFi or Bluetooth (whichever causes you issues) to make them noticeable in your phone; leave and exit app (don't just refresh) for an hour if once configured, power off, etc, your speaker isn't showing in the app (this worked for me). Unplugging for a few mins solves random issues too.

No stars for this app. Reason, it simply doesn't connect to wifi regardless of what you do. I've been on to the technical support on numerous to try and resolve this bit to no avail. I have had replacement speakers, again still no joy. All other devices in the house can connect effortlessly. Clearly this is an ongoing issue judging by similar reviews. It's got to the stage now where the helpdesk just ignore customers to avoid the hassle. Despicable service. Zero stars.

I love Marshall's speakers, but the app isn't at the same level of quality as the speakers. This is unfortunate because it takes away from the great sound experience, the app is too lagggy and slow to respond and to detect the speaker, when i close it or restart the phone it no longer detect my stanmore 2 voice, and it's not possible to control the music if you play on another app than Spotify or Amazon music. This app needs a lot of work, please try to update it! Thank you!

This is very poor software - having spent hours trying to connect utilizing it, I contacted Marshall support via Chat on their website. We did a factory reset, and then deleted and redownloaded the app. They were unable to connect me with WiFi. Marshall rep suggested I sacrifice some audio quality, return this and order the Bluetooth version of the Stanwood II. All because of the buggy software? You can do a lot better and note that with the Voice features this app is supposed to provide it is worthless to have paid $150 more for this version of the speaker if you can't use Alexa, nor get your speaker on WiFi.

Terrible app. Useless as can't connect speaker even with following the instructions. Also, there are 3 different Marshall speaker apps and none of them work with each other. Why not make one app that works cross speaker type and actually works rather than 3 rubbish apps that are useless. Spend hundreds of £s on speakers and the app is shocking. Terrible. Developers response doesnt change the fact that 3 different apps for different speaker types rather than 1. Stupid design from the outset....
