Urgh why - dunno but I've checked all the usual places and it's just acting up (have checked I have latest version). It's not showing to pause show then when I cast it , it just stops and also is doing things out of order and I have to debit cast, or stop casting and restart. I've done it min 20 times tonight just because I want to keep watching my show but it'll be a whole before I use again. Not user friendly.

Fix it please. I don't like complaining about a free service, but this app is unusable. So much great content but I can't watch any of it, unfortunately it's all just "oops, something went wrong, please try again later". It can take up to half an hour to get something to play, constantly reinstalling the app, turning tv on and off, even then I dare not pause a show if it does eventually play because it won't work after I un-pause it. Based on the bad reviews it's not just my problem.

Where's the 0 stars option? This is literally the worst app I've ever encountered!!! It constantly freezes, it can't handle chrome casting at all. When it freezes, it kicks you out, starts from the beginning and you have to watch a bunch of ads to get back to where you were upto....then it freezes again!! Worst app ever. Surely the developers read these comments??!! (Probably laughing at them!) Fix it dammit! It's beyond anything I've ever dealt with on an app, it's soooo painful!

This app works so horribly with Chromecast. Constantly, CONSTANTLY, freezes trying to buffer. Or switch to or fro the ads. Every time we use it, it just gets worse. It's genuinely impossible for us to cast from our phones now. We have super fast internet, and this is the only streaming service we use that has this problem. ☹️

Update: it is now April 2025 and still having the same issues.... logged in this morning to watch 10 minutes of my show before work...was disconnected 4 times from the app...each time restarting the episode from the start...so ended up watching 5 minutes of advertising and still not seen my show from the point I stopped watching last night. Very dissatisfied with this app. Always crashes when connecting to my chrome cast! Won't even load the App today!!!!

all I see is a black screen when I try to watch a programme. useless. I have used previous tvnz on demand apps and they have been fantastic. Now it is impossible to watch anything on my mobile. I can hear the dialogue but I see NOTHING.

This App loves to crash whenever there's an advert about to show. We have consistent issues both on Chrome cast and the new smart TV App. Studders, stops, goes to the last 5 mins of a show, or takes you back 5 mins. It has great shows, just can't get to watch them.

Constantly just displays a black screen instead of loading a video. If it DOES try to load a video it'll just get stuck loading indefinitely the majority of the time. Good ol' TVNZ, never fails to disappoint.
