The Borders Buses Application is one of the better travel apps...It has a heck of a lot more useful and helpful additions to help you on your journey, than the one I used in Northern Ireland in 2023...(moved to borders in 2023 Nov...) You can check service numbers, timetables, and also a section where you can see where a particular bus is at any given time during the journey... I can highly recommend this app 110%... It is a Must Have application.... Also, the buses are clean and comfortable.

Probably the most useless app ive seen Journey planner does not show bus numbers or any more than 4 times of buses having to refresh constantly. Opening the app instantly takes you to a google map that requires location information which is about as much use as a chocolate starfish when you not even in the area. Great if you know your route number which i dont and many routes go the same direction having to scan multiple rout just to find a time on the tables.

Easy to use app, simple navigation, journey planner works well (like the steps and CO2 saved details) Only minor gripe would be when buying promotional tickets you can't increase (as far as I can see) the quantity you are buying, meaning I have to put the same transaction through 6 times, for example, to buy 6 tickets. Feels like something that would be easy to fix though and hope to see it in a future update!

This app has some useful features. I like the journey planner, the timetables and the disruption alerts. But it falls down in the most important area: the live bus tracker. Unlike apps from other bus companies (such as Lothian and Stagecoach), you can't simply tell it, "I'm at this bus stop. When will the next buses arrive?". You have to use the Journey Planner to specify your journey (which requires you to type in your start point and destination). If there is any way of bringing up a live "departure board" for your current stop, it is well-hidden. Nor is there any obvious way of finding your nearest stop. As far as I can see, the only option is to start at the map showing your current location, and then pan around until you see the symbol for a bus stop (and these are only visible above a certain zoom level). Since downloading maps takes more bandwidth than viewing a simple list, this is bad news for anyone who is using mobile data and paying per megabyte. A final problem: there is a Favourites Stop feature, but the method of marking a given stop as a favourite is completely baffling. Apart from the above, however, it is a useful app.

Half of the time, buses aren't using their trackers so the timetables in the app' are marginally more useful than the physical ones stationed at stops. These buses are usually late, but occasionally show up and leave earlier. Generally speaking, Borders isn't the most reliable transport around and tends to be late to the scene. The app' is pretty much required reading at this point however as neither Borders nor the council seem to routinely update the physical timetables at stops.

Super easy to navigate, love the love bus tracking. Wish I could purchase more than one ticket at any given time. Also found that, at least recently for a stop I board at, a discrepancy between when the bus is due and how long the bus will really take to arrive is apparent. For example, the app expects the bus to arrive in 10 minutes, yet the map shows the bus much further behind schedule consistently. I feel it would make more sense to have both when the bus is due and realistic time of arrival

The Borders bus that passes where I live only stops here at certain times of the day, other times it just drives past. But the app will tell you it's coming every time, allowing you to stand waving like an idiot. Until this gets fixed the app is as much an annoyance as it is a help, no matter how well the app itself operates.

Very good and generally very close to timetable. Cancellation on 21st lead to being very crowded on next bus.
