I was literally on cloud 9 knowing there's an app that only shows thrillers and horror movies. I downloaded it and subscribed immediately. First, I had to delete and reinstall the app on my apple tv 4 times because it kept getting stuck on shudder TV and not moving to other menu items. Then, you play. A movie and bang, the voices from other movies are playing along with the movie being played. Also, the movie selection isn't that great. Mainly commercial low budget movies.

The app is so buggy, it randomly gets errors and won't allow you to play, or you'll try to start a movie and the play button does nothing so you need to force stop the app or empty the cache every time you want to watch something and once it starts, you better not need to pause and do anything else or it won't play again. Very frustrating.

At first when I signed up years ago it seemed to work fine on my FireTv now im constantly getting error messages or randomly get a message saying sorry you're not one of us you have to subscribe when clearly I had this app for years.So i have to clear cache log out log in .Then, I go to the Shudder TV every night to see what's playing live. And It's the same movie under all 3 categories for the entire month every single night, almost for 2 months.

Three stars for the Android app, NOT the service itself. Plays content just fine but I pretty much 💯 watch on my HD monitor at home. Lowered rating because tapping on notifications does not take me into the app, just dismisses them. Then I have to pull up the app manually and remember what the interesting notification was all about so I can search it out. Seriously? No one else has this problem.

Streaming via Firestick is very good. No issues at all. The app though? Interface looked really good. But my very first selection of a trailer said, "Trouble playing, contact Support." Same when I tried to watch the actual movie. Nope. Uninstalled. Not going through such nonsense on my very first attempt. Too many other options out there and already on my phone.

Mostly for avid horror fans! I did the trial version and forgot to cancel, so paid for a year up front. It was only like $60, and I love horror, so I figured we'd probably watch a few things and make it worth it in a year. I'm so glad I accidentally signed up! I've never had any issues streaming (I only use it on my TV, so don't really know about the mobile app). And the variety! I was never one for foreign films, but they have an awesome selection! The original movies we've really liked too.

The movies constantly stall. They go in and out throughout the movie. Which is very frustrating. It also uses entirely too much data. I really love horror movies. The whole shutter concept idea is great, however it needs a lot of work. Also I wanted to cancel my subscription to it and I'm having a difficult time doing so. However they had no problem sending me an email to offer a free month to keep me as a customer.

Service is great. Plenty of choice and excellent quality. App itself is a pain. If you select a movie from, say, 'last chance to watch' on the main screen, then hit 'back' you have to wait for it to load, scroll back down and then scroll across back to where you were. Very infuriating to just browse.
